JKAEN
- Rereading, I still find Jkaen scummy Day 1. He defends Mattimeo then flips away from him as soon as the evidence mounts. Post #104, he attacks 3 known innocents: Lewwyn, Azza and Novice.
- On the other hand, he hints as his track ability in #75
Quote:There are a bunch of other ways to verify it other than a seer. If he is seen visiting somebody else for example then its a lie and we lynch him
. I generally think that dropping ability hints before you have to is a town tell.
- By #211 Matt is dead and Jkaen reverses course, putting Novice, Lewwyn and Azza in the strong village. It’s inconsistent, but it is a fair response to Mattimeos’ death. Town points.
- Choosing to track Lewwyn is crappy luck or scummy, but I guess I can believe it. Still, slight scum points.
- Day 2 and Night 2 I think he then acquits himself well. Nothing very scummy in his posts. He admits that he’s voting Azza in self defence. His actual votes match mine, so I can’t fault him there.
- Overall, Jkaen is a question mark, but I think he feels less scummy now than he did day 1.
ZAKALWE
- I agree with Uber that Zak felt like fence sitting. He also turns on Mattimeo after the QT, but so did everyone else.
- He votes for Azza early in Day 2, it looks like a pressure vote. He leaves the prime scumhunting up to others.
- Switches back to Jkaen by the end of Day 2. At the time I thought this might be scummy, because if Jkaen was innocent then Zak had played a nice game in hemming and hawing before killing him.
- On the other hand, Zak is the only suspect who I know WASN’T on an innocent at the end of Day 2. That’s got to count for something. Town points.
- My biggest suspicion about Zak now is his interactions with Uber. Uber attacked Zak hard. But Zak only every uses passive defence, he never counter-attacks. If he was innocent, I would think Zak would think that Uber coming at him was a possible scum tell. He would investigate Uber a little more closely. Instead he just plays defence, and I find that suspicious.
- I think Zak could be scum, but only in certain pairings.
QQQ
- Kind of the opposite of Jkaen. After giving him a strong town lean early in the game, due to a Miller claim that was open to counter-claiming or checking, I’ve become less sure of him as time has gone on. He helped drive an innocent puppet to his death Day 2 (with my help, granted), and since then he has gone quiet. I can see Qqq trying to stealth his way through the next day or so, while suspicion hits me/Zak.
- Really frustrating about Tasunke here. Given Q had by far the most controversial claim in Day 1, a role seer should almost certainly have targeted him. But Tasunke didn’t know Q had claimed miller, and since we know he was town, I guess the error wasn’t faked. So although I would like to think that Tasunke scanned Q and found him telling the truth, I’m inclined to think that Tasunke didn’t scan anybody night 1. Null tell.
- Since I’ve known him, Q has mislynched first (AITP), won as scum, then been mislynched first again. Not a great record (sorry Q
). Given that, I can understand his pessimism at the start of this game.
- But I can also see how this would lead him to fake-claim miller. It’s a high risk move, but if he’s not instantly killed, it gives him a lot more cover going through the game.
- Novice and Q both said that we could have a miller without an alignment seer. Apparently we did before? I am deeply sceptical about this, however. I thought Q was town, because I thought we must have a seer. Now I know we didn’t, I don’t see why the miller ability. Scum tell.
- I know murdered Azza over bad meta, so I won’t weigh this meta line too heavily.
- Day 1, Q defends Matt to the last,
-But I like Lewwyn’s logic in Night 1 that we probably had one wolf on Mattimeo, one wolf off. And Q is my ONLY wolf suspect left who wasn’t on Mattimeo at lynch time. Scum points.
- #224, Q about the only person to openly support Jkaen start of Day 2. Null tell, but interesting to note.
- I agreed with his case on Azza, so I’m happy with that. But I didn’t like how he immediately jumped online with his, ‘just too late’ in post #410, after Azza's death, and throws some dirt on his partner in Azza crime – the Glum. He knows that both of us will be looked unkindly upon, and maybe wants to prep me for the coming noose.
- I've not liked his play the last few hours. Supporting Uber in what I see as an anti-town level of secrecy. Weird post at me.
-Q has gone from probably town to potential scum for me.
UBERFISH
- I did a big attack on Uber at the end of Night 1, and looking back I think a lot of that still stands. Like Zak, he was quiet on Mattimeo before turning on him once the game was up. But I see him as scummier than Zak, because Zak was at least participating.
- Uber goes dead silent until Mattimeo is ruined, and then he chimes in. Players avoiding taking part in successful scum hunts is a scum tell for me.
- He then suggests Night 1 that we are looking for only one more scum, the puppeteer. I think that was rubbish then and now. Scum tell.
- He says he thinks that no bussing occurred on Mattimeo:
(April 9th, 2013, 07:18)uberfish Wrote: Happy we got Mattimeo lynched despite the puppeting of Azza. Lewwyn, why do you think he was bussed? To me it didn't read like there was anyone really trying to take credit for the lynch. In the fairly likely scenario that Azza is village with a scum master, scum were probably hoping for a last minute switch that didn't happen.
Likewise, this strikes me as suspect.
- I wildly accuse him of shennaginans. What does Uber do?
- No response. At all.
- Big scum tell. In my experience, when a villager is falsely accused they lash back. I’m not familiar with UBer’s play, but just waiting for a serious attack on his honour to blow over is suspicious. It’s the play of someone who is trying, above all, not to draw attention to their own record.
- #334 he attacks me with what I consider a misrepresentation of my post.
- Most of Day 2 I like. I think his attacks on Zak have merit. His attack on me is sad, but defensible. My initial suspicion of him was fading here.
- Surprised that Uber wasn’t killed Night 2. If he was town, he would seem the obvious victim from scum if they couldn’t’ trust Novice. Maybe they WIFOMed and thought I would think so too. Minor scum tell.
- But now we have Day 3, and I really don’t like him again. I don’t think he can have an ability so good that it is worth more to us than Novice’s life. Maybe he is keeping quiet to try and convince scum that he does. Draw their fire. Maybe.
- Uber fits a possible roleblocker well, to my mind, (as does Q). He is currently my highest Scum Alert.
Next up: the pairs!
