WW22 Lurker Thread - A Psychologist's Report

(April 18th, 2013, 02:11)Jkaen Wrote: I also think it will be uber who kills him.

Lets look at various factors:

Claim order - Q 1st, Me 4th, Uber 11th. Obviously its far easier for scum to make up a role once everything else has been claimed and there is no risk of a duplicate

Claim power - Q miller is a small negative, my tracker is a standard role for these games. Uber has a commuter power, which I assume (not been stated) is 2 shot. This seems far too strong for a 11 man game, 1 shot I would have thought would be the limit

Power hinting - Q claimed first post. I made a hint at tracker when talking about how to determien Q's alignment. Uber should have been hinting like crazy at a big power role in order to get targetted at night, and I didn't see any of that

Power usage - Q is passive. I tracked Lewwyn a strong player going after me, zak a player under suspicion and generally hard to lynch, and uber another good player who hadnt claimed at that point. Uber uses his power on night 2 and 3, seems if you have such a huge power you gamble on holding it longer so it can really shine around now when there are less targets.

Night kills
N1 - Lewwyn - a powerful player, and a chance to set up me for a mislynch
N2 - Tansuke - Now this puzzled everybody, but checking his power, he was the village role seer, so the question is did he visit somebody N1 and let that info slip?
His first post day 2 "why would scum have a jailer? "
Second post day 2 "As in I thought jailer was typically a village power. "
His last post addressed to uber "oh my fucking god. Just lock the fucking keys why don't you. "
N3 - Novice - Strong player confirmed villager, after zak.

So seems I was wrong, the scum don't have a roleblocker, they have a jailer, and it is uber.

Well done, JKaen.

Village still needs to see this through, but yeah it looks like we might win it.

Your role claim was very creative, Zak. Why did you make it so complicated though? And why didn't you fear a watcher? I guess the answer to that should be obvious now that I think of it - because scum knew village had a tracker.

Actually we knew all roles from the point that Gazglum claimed late on D2. Yay mass claims!

What should I have claimed? I thought it was both neat and plausible, though I messed up with the Ryan/puppetmaster thing.
If you know what I mean.

I guess the other thing I should have changed was to not target Jkaen. Kind of ended up framing myself, there.

Or just stay away from the hole roleblocking business. But then again, what should I claim?

In hindsight, (edit: the other scum tongue) should just have framed someone on D4 with a fake result of some kind. We should have pulled a Rowain. smile

uber should just not kill anyone tonight, might be the best chance at confusion at this point. lol

Doesn't work, unless he (my scum buddy) can lynch the mayor. That's why we couldn't no-kill on N3 either, or we probably would have. I really don't like that victory condition. Equal numbers should be a scum win, with no questions asked.

Looking back, I think a fake watcher claim on D4 could have won this for scum. Should ideally have been prepared a little in advance, though.

I know that's tongue in cheek, as I don't think mass claiming hurt the village.

I should have pursued the "why didn't you fear a watcher" clue further, as it really shows who your only plausible partner is. Or maybe that would have been putting the cart before the horse and made lynching you harder.

You were kind of screwed by having a duplicate role seer, as that meant you HAD to fake claim. I wonder what TheStick was thinking there actually, since Zak claiming first would have been another scum brought down by the mod. Were you told that village had an ability seer?

No. We were lucky to scan Tasunke, although unlucky in the sense that we'd rather get to night kill someone else. N2 was slightly risky for us, as there were three threats and we could only stop two of them. We needed to stop Tasunke from scanning me, we needed to stop Jkaen from tracking, and we needed to dodge Gazglum's protection.
