Whosit Clowns Around in EitB PBEM XXVI [SPOILERS!]

Ah, I see.

Well, Serdoa did send his archer NE, and I made no further attempt to move or defend my Worker, so I guess that is that. It will just be rather unfortunate if he doesn't offer peace like promised, since he could still screw me over with just that one unit by pillaging all of my stuff. If he's really intent to give himself as large an advantage as possible, that's what he'd do.

Anyway, assuming he does what he agreed to, I'll be down a worker, but I'll have another out in 3 more turns. Crafting just got done, started Mining. I'm aiming to have my two incense up soon, plus a few more farms. I think I'll grow the city to the happy cap (just 5) before starting a Settler. Probably work all farms at that point. Next turn I should reveal some more fog around the gold/gem city out east.

I'm grumbling to myself because I'd probably be #1 in food if I hadn't been attacked. At least I didn't end up dead, though. That's something, I suppose. Hopefully my little planned farmer's gambit will pay off with a few fast(?) cities, then I can tech up and hopefully bring the hurt back to Serdoa some day, though I'd wager I'll get myself distracted before then. I don't even know where his capital is, but I'll try to scout north and find it, assuming my traveling Warrior doesn't bite it. He has Woodsman and Guerrilla I, so as long as I don't step into flatland my chances should be ok. Maybe.

Combat line would've probably been more useful, actually. Combat is +20% per level, and the Guer and Woodie 2 levels are only available for Kilimorph and Leaves civs, respectively.

Personally I think you made the right choice. You've much better long term prospects than the Clan, who need to win early.

I keep forgetting that Combat is +20% in EitB. Oh well, I wasn't gonna use those other promos on anything but my scout dude.

Obviously, I'm glad for a deal to have been made, but I think the "correct" decision from Serdoa would have been to keep that archer around and pillage/choke me until I killed it. He could have deleted those other units to save money, but he could have truly put me behind if he intended to. So let's pay that kindness back by burying him. Yes.

Worker was captured, but no offered peace as promised. Worrisome. Sent a cease fire offer to Serdoa, and moved some units out to defend my wheat, just in case. If he decides to remain belligerent, I'm going to lose some more tiles. He has a second city, of course. I'm sure most of my opponents do by now, if not all.

This Juggalo could be in trouble, but I think he has odds on the defense, even against the Scorpion. Gonna be a pain clearing this area out for the Settler, though.

Well, my guy died. Since no combat logs are kept, I don't know what the odds really were, so I dunno if the Scorpion was lucky or if it just had better odds than I anticipated (not like I could have done anything about it). Anyway, considering the state of things, losing that Warrior was Ungood.

Serdoa didn't accept the cease fire, but appears to be leaving. I moved some troops to make sure he doesn't plan on turning around.

Hopefully if I send out a couple warriors, I can kill off the Lion den and settle without having more barbs harass. Barb animals still don't enter territory, right? Just warrior-types and monsters?

What? It's just not turned on? I assumed since it worked automatically in BtS, it would have worked the same in EitB. I guess... not? Uh, is that just in the options?

Its in the .ini
Its turned off by default because it can put a lot of stress on old computers.

Correct. Scorpions are strength 4+1 poision, so can be very hard to kill unless you've a few promoted hunters around. But if you go the hunting line, they are good to capture, because they have Nature 2 for poisoned blade spells.

Scorpions can cast spells??? Huh. Actually, does poison do more than add to strength? Serdoa's goblins had poison.

Also, I couldn't find an option in the .ini that looked like it turned combat logs on. What's the command supposed to look like?
