Aha, done - haven't read the books, but I've played the boardgame... What should we be prioritising in our new cities? Courthouses (save 3gpt here), Trading posts, forges or harbours (gain 2gpt)? Harbour is the quickest build due to the exp bonus... Or am I missing something else?
On the economy:
We make 268 gold at 0%, break even at about 55% making around 300 beakers and lose 220 gold at 100% making 550 beakers.
Trolls are making 46 gold this turn and have 222 in the bank. They've still got 44 turns to go to astro so I presume are at 0% with scientist specialists and have a stack in TEAM territory.
Looking at the screenshots I think settling Oathkeeper cost us 3 gpt (with 8 commerce coming in) so new cities are ~11gpt and will break even with two citizens working non-colossus water tiles. Obviously the overseas ones will cost more in maintenance but make more from overseas trade. I don't know how that will stack up, but I think we need to risk crashing the economy to deny the island to trolls. What do you think?
Our caravels can transport the missionaries ahead of time and we have six galleys that can be upgraded to six-move, 3-cargo galleons. Once we've got the island uncovered (in four turns we'll have a missionary out of BOG to go see the bits the caravels can't reach) we should create a dot-map to make it as hard for Trolls to get a foot-hold as possible. Should we settle "their" side of the island(s) first?

Trolls want to trade maps. I don't see anything in it for us. What if I re-offer with a marble trade instead?
It looks like something has happened around here. I hope to find the Troll stack next turn.
Gifting these six cats back to M3 means our costs go down by 8 gpt. Looks like we're on a farming gambit for the next 50 turns - have we seen enough of the new continent to ask M3 for a NAP extension?
Some more exploring over the ocean unveils one very strong city site.
Some fog gazing makes me sure this is all one continent. Does it need a name?
BOG is 3 turns from an exploring missionary and 13 turns from a great person. If we starve it. I think that might not be a great idea, so more like 15 turns.
We'll have theatres built in Smooth Criminal, Dirk, Epee, Foil, Jemmy and Katana by t155 at which point Smooth starts on the globe theatre. I'm tempted to change that at this point to the island city but lets not get ahead of ourselves. After that we want to be building settlers and missionaries...

No way we give our map to anyone at this point unless we get something like a city or two for it--we need to take all the islands right away.
If we're going with the island plan, we should definitely extend our NAP's--keep checking if anyone else can scout the islands yet.

Team and Trolls are busy, m3 haven't researched optics yet and pirates are too backwards. I think we get a few turns head start...
I need to get our settling plan worked out don't i? Building an explorer might be useful along with the exploring missionaries...

If we have the missionaries (we need to build anyway) why do we need an explorer? Barbs and huts are off right?

We'll only have a missionary every three turns as only bog can build them. I'd like to get visibility much quicker than that will allow...

So this is where Trolls start to roll over TEAM. I'm feeling pretty bad for Tas at the moment. He's got a longbow, vulture and knight in Pidgeon Forge, with another couple of knights next to it. Trolls have three maces and a pike following their stack.
Here is (one of?) the Troll scouting expedition(s). Their Astro research has dipped back to 39 turns again, their cash is at 322 and income is 63. I think we're 8-9 turns away from it. Anyone know how much upgrading a galley to a galleon costs?
I'm having to play quick, so hopefully I'll get to plan out our settler builds next turn. Mean time this is what happens to our missionary next turn - he completes in BOG this turn, boards a galley, swaps to a caravel then unloads on the new continent the turn after.
Settled Pike as our last city on the mainland. The new continent is the future!

Wait--when did the other two teams get alphabet? And most of the other teams have Paper too? How much do the other teams have over us? (besides what's shown)

Its much bigger than I thought originally. Settling the whole thing is going to take some doing, so I think we'll end up being half and half with trolls. Unless we settle "their" half first and make it hard for them to get a foothold...
