Hmmm, Mattimeo I hope you have completed the requisite RJ56, 78 and 91 leave-request forms, filed in triplicate and submitted on your knees to the presiding clerk in charge of pitiful excuses?
If not I shall be most displeased, and will be having words with your line manager at our next workplace brunch...

Oh!
And it has been brought to my attention that we have yet to have an opening ceremony for this possibly unauthorised (the required affadavits have yet to reach my desk novice) new game.
I feel this is the perfect time for some poetry.

Oh freddled gruntbuggly
Thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.
Groop I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes
And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
See if I don't! Bigger

Totally forgot about this because I was fixated on my Bills embarrassing themselves yet again. On the plus side, I've never read the book in question and hence none of this makes any actual sense to me. I think that means I have to turn in my nerd card. frown

I'll vote Bigger based on not wanting Lewwyn to have a voting bloc.[/color]

Since Lewwyn is apparently confused by my confusion, I'll elaborate - Gaspar, wtf are you talking about? I asked Lewwyn to elaborate on his mysterious "Matt is innocent" claim, which seemed a little premature. I didn't even comment on his voting block.
ok, I like Pocketbeetle's role play lol but Gaspar is really reaching.

Bigger

no, no I don't. It worked didn't it? with pocketbeetle, anyway. I'm used to games that have 3-4 pages in the first few hours. there was 5-6 posts after almost 7 hours. I think that was enough time for more activity and did my job sparking it :P

... do you really believe that without your vote PB wouldn't have posted anything?

I get uberfish not knowing what I was talking about here, but I have zero doubt Bigger knew. We had a fairly decent discussion in the lurker thread of last game about player's proclivities to other players. I'll quote my relevant post from that discussion below, but if you want the full context read the posts surrounding it. Relevant part bolded for emphasis.

(April 16th, 2013, 22:28)Gaspar Wrote: Regardless of what Bigger thinks, novice is absolutely inclined to give zakalwe the benefit of the doubt. They'll "turn" on each other briefly in the thread but inevitably buy each others defense.

Its not really a big deal if you get used to it. There are certain players who for whatever reason "speak" to one another in such a way that their voice rings truer even when it turns out dishonest. Sareln and I always seemed to believe in one another's innocence, the actual reality of the innocence notwithstanding. Bigger has the same blind spot for Lewwyn. There's others, but I don't want to give away all my trade secrets in case I roll scum again in the future. smile

The key is for the rest of the players to metagame it properly.

Consider my first vote me metagaming it properly. tongue In case Bigger denies that he remembers this post from me, he responded in that thread by saying that he believes Lewwyn has the same blind spot for him (I'm less certain of this.)

Anyway, like any opening vote it was 90% "because one has to make a vote" and 10% reality, which in this case was me trying to see how Bigger would react. I thought his simple what was pretty telling actually - felt like scum feeling nervous and deciding he'd wait for either me to trip over myself answering or for others to bail him out. When that didn't happen, he just said I was "really reaching." Well, it was my first post on day one, yeah, I'm sorry for lacking a ton of content. I brought more to the table than "let's randomly vote for the new guy," though.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Gaspar: my response ("what?") was sincere. I didn't know what you were talking about. I didn't even respond to Lewwyn's vote at all. I think pressure on Zak is always a good thing. If you were intentionally making a spurious vote to get information, well that makes sense at least.

uber: yes. I am powerful and mighty. People pay attention to what I have to say!

... still waiting for Ryan to pay attention to me frown

Well its an interesting day, as interesting as every other day, or in other words not so interesting. Already I fear we are failing. Bigger failing to recognize that I'm not claiming Matt is innocent, only lamenting his mislynchability and our inevitable failure to mislynch. Dark mood

Zakalwe fails to convince me of his innocence or of Mattimeo's guilt.

Uberfish fails to understand the idea of a voting block... I wonder if he also fails to keep his bloodlust in check.

Gaspar fails to make himself suspicious. He'll be dead soon. We'll all be dead soon. T_T

Well, that means at least I am doing everything right - not that there was ever any doubt about that of course.
