@novice: Thanks for the detailed plan! This is so great and exactly what I was hoping for: choices and finishing turns.

@Sullla: Thanks for summarizing and for the great turn reports in general. I also wanted to say but forgot that I support the barracks in Starfall over monastery, and that I agree with your argument on the forge.

Is it possible for us to hide our production on Taj by build manipulation/swaps? When and how is production calculated in pitboss? Apologies for what is likely a very simple question there, I just haven't played any pitboss games. Is it when we hit "end turn" or when the turn rolls for everyone? If it is the case when the turn rolls, then we could hold turn until after CFC plays and swap builds back to the Taj in Adventure One before ending our own turn, then changing back to the dummy build after the new turn rolls.

I don't really like doing these kinds of things, but I want to beat CFC, as I would rather play like a scumbag than get beat by (pejorative term omitted) CFC.

Movement proposal for our scout in Apolyton land:

we won't need to enter Port Boreas to get visibility on the sea tile to its northeast. The tile 2E of PB is coast, so Welcome Wagon can move SE-NE next turn (the road goes that way) and see if Port Boreas is their Colossus city anyway.

More importantly than necessarily us doing it, is what might CFC do, and how can we counter that, if needed

CFC can't do it as long as they are at war. Swapping requires quick logins right after each turn roll.

I would suggest we don't do any production swapping. It's not necessary and what if we make a mistake because of it... In addition, it just doesn't feel right.

100% in agreement. We aren't doing this with research, so why do it with production?

I'm confident in our turnplayer's manual dexterity and overall competence (one reported mistake so far for how many THOUSANDS of clicks?), as well as his ability to remember to log back in and overall commitment to doing whatever it takes to win. I don't think a mistake is likely.

As for the other point, swapping tech just feels like, for me (others may feel differently), more gamey. In order to get research visibility, a team has to make a greater investment in EP than just to plug in a formula on any city they've discovered on the map, whether through exploration (ok, some effort), or a map trade (very little effort). I just choose to draw that line at tech swapping, because that is also, again IMO, a more long term strategy. Hiding the build here is a very narrow, short term goal.

Having said all of that, it does go against the ethos of RB which is a more honorable style of play. But, I just want to beat CFC. If it was CivFr, I wouldn't have mentioned it. Is this rational? No. But, hiding the build by swapping is what I'd do if it is a viable tactic (helpful to us) that is not against the rules, if the decision were mine. Everyone can make up their mind. I don't feel so strongly that I'll shout at anyone for disagreement.
