What do you mean? As a pro wink Taric player I can tell you that it takes a lot of skill to remember which key the stun button is! lol

I know Bruce plays a lot of Nautilus and consistently raves about him. He has so much CC that he’s useful in almost any situation, and if you get remotely strong you’re this ridiculous unkillable tank capable of zoning two or three people at a time in teamfights.

He works in most comps, but particularly excels at catching people. So a pick comp, with someone like Ashe and a high-damage mid is ideal. But he’s a bit like Cho’Gath in the jungle… ideal because he doesn’t need to be fed to be useful, and offers A LOT of tankiness, utility and CC.

Nautilus top is actually really good against people who don’t know how to play against him. Basically you abuse the fact that your shield is completely OP, because it both shields you from lots of damage AND does damage around you in an AoE. You’ll generally outdamage most bruisers while your shield is up for this reason.

Any smart enemy will disengage as soon as you pop your shield, then re-engage a couple of seconds later when you can’t do anything. But because Nautilus top isn’t really a thing, and because it takes a couple of games to figure out what to do, it’s unusual to see others do this. Being out-traded is a terrible thing though, as you have no prospect of getting any sort of sustain in lane.

In other news, I’m sad about the Lulu Q mana cost nerf. She really didn’t need nerfing… she had something like a 46% win rate as it was, I understand. Time to spam Janna games (she’s the next FotM support, I think)

Naut has amazing early ganks which can be great for helping solo queue lanes win (or opponents rage). By level 3 you have a stun, a hook, and a slow. It's a pretty easy kill if your lane has another CC or decent early damage. Just don't pick Naut against a strong jungle invader because you will get crushed early if they know what they're doing.

One other Naut advice is that a lot of Naut players will try to dive/zone during teamfights - which can be the right move, but Naut is also a great peeler so against dive comps it is can be better to run back and protect the ADC. I make this mistake a lot. wink

Agree Naut strong in the right hands.

Saw this on reddit earlier in response to the patch reducing the max health pots to 5.
Found it amusing enough to share, particularly the way every discussion on reddit seems to end in teemo.

That nerf is 100% directed at the pros. Lulu already was below 50% before her last nerf (not this one). The problem is that the pros are not playing the same game as we mere mortals any more. In competitive play, you see laneswaps all the time. Lulu excels at that: Good zoning, versatile and great pushing with Q (that's where this nerf is directed at). Lulu is also extremly popular, even though not outstandingly overpowered. That is probably because she is so much fun to play (Yup, that tasted purple). Hence, I think she will be picked even after the nerf. In other news, Sona back at 55% win rate. Expect nerfs coming soon.

I also wonder what Riot is going to do when pro play and amateur play diverge even more. The tower aggro/armor pen change was already directed at pro play exclusively (read: the 3:30 3-1 tower dive), this one is, and I wonder what else is coming. Funny thing is that TF seems to be immune from nerfs, even though he is so popular with the pros.

Had such a heartbreaking match just now.. We had this guy who was quite new to ranked and only Silver 2, but for some reason he was matched with us Gold 2 players. He had a really good attitude and tried his best, but the three others in the team would just flame their heads off at him all game. It was full on bombardment of insults, while this Teemo is staying positive trying to get the team playing and saying we can still win. It was hard to watch. I felt so bad for the guy, it's not his fault he gets matched with people a full tier above him.

The couple of times I've tried out Lulu I've had fun. But her kit is so nuanced. Landing the perfect Q is like landing Zyra's thorns. Really, really hard to do consistently against good players.

If I'm lucky and can play support, I tend to congregate on Sona and Leona these days. Mastering Power chords is fun, and landing your chain CC as Leona is extremely satisfying. If we're going back to Janna meta I'll be so out of practice. =[

Really? I''m trying to get 10 wins for that summoner icon and all I see are people mindlessly diving into the enemy team.
Waiting for the rest of the team to revive? Siege the tower because we have Nidalee with spears on our team? Buying any aura item? No no, must dive....crazyeye

But maybe your mmr is much higher than mine so you don't get paired with the same people I do. Right now the game mode lacks any strategy and tactics, but maybe that's the point. lol
