AT loves it when a plan comes together!! [Spoilers]

And so what if Jowy collapses? Can we get a fast strike force in there quick enough to grab those undefneded cities? Before his next round of whips reinforces? I don't see it.

If TT is the only one who researched engineering - well, Jowy isn't getting it anytime soon.

Jowy has no counterattack force - everything is in eden prime. If we take it, he collapses. is it worth the risk? I dunno.

Fine, its probably worth the risk since we're here already. But you need to stop being tempted by builder mode until the results of this battle are in and we're replenished our ranks. Alot of your cities are on infrastructure, some of it is military infrastructure to be sure, but we're missing boots on the ground.

And stop talking about universities and the 1400H that will cost while Jowy still trolling us. I mean, you can build universities fine. But you can't walk into Jowy's land with even numbers, have half our cities on infrastructure and be talking about universities and OR without giving me heart flutters.

Sorry that the uni talk worried you. I did that to write down my thoughts on unis, when we get there... and that's not yet. not really close.

The infra builds we are doing are, I think, pretty vital and basically nothing that has a rax is doing anything but building units - well, MASH, but I think we need a stable on that side of the world - CF may end up hitting us and HA may be all that beats up catapults.

But everything else is building units. Well, CHiPs just whipped in forge, but that's to get a faster GP for a GA, which will help us. We are researching Guilds, full out, and I'm turning down useful trades because it will put us behind on guilds.

LA Law had to whip in a caravel, to maintain control of the sea.

but yeah - I'm beginning to think that moving in on Eden Prime is a forest too far, and we should just walk out again. We'll see where we are at next turn.

Hahaha, because that would actually be smart and help Jowy keep his cities. lol Somehow I don't think that that's going to happen.

He could have also offered peace for Rannoch the turn before TT took it. Assuming he's not trolling, then he shouldn't really care who took the city. He might have got tech out of that deal to help defend against TT while buying 10T of peace with us.

btw - I think you can make a pretty valid criticism of my creating HA in A-Team and MASH and sending them to take care of a frekaing barb city wink That's a little brain dead....

so, back to a question from much earlier:

I moved, then I checked the tech screen (which was dumb) and then I noticed that Jowy had machinery.

If we reload - is it unethical to change my mind and move differently? The move exposed no jowy units I coudn't see or anything like that - just changed my mind about the right move.

I think this would be frowned on, so my plan is to replay the turn exactly the same way. I figured I'd ask, though.

I agree with you. Unfortunately.

Hahaha, I let that one go. lol

Actually, not really true. I don't think you posted that that's what the HA were for. Or if you had I hadn't noticed it. Crazy me, I had assumed that the only 2 units (other than a cat in V) that you were building were going to support your stack invasion of Eden Prime.

I would have popped a blood vessel had I noticed that. You are soooooo lucky that you fessed up ahead of time. lol

Not guaranteed! Let's say that TT successfully takes the north cities. He's feeling a little overexpanded maybe, not ready to make a run at Eden Prime, but doesn't want to see us land the other cities.

Solution: gift Jowy tech. That way the cities are still there when TT is ready to take those cities.

This is why I'm saying that any military action we take must assume the worst case of tech parity. Otherwise, we'll be surprised in an unfortuante way.

that's certainly true - but I think jowy's going to piss him off by asking Engineering for peace. Well, I've pretty much decided that unless I think we can kill Eden Prime, we are backing off. Getting a city (or maybe two) and 2 workers isn't bad, at all.

I probably should have backed off the instant I chose to use the GP on an academy, instead of a GA.

War without a tech advantage is very difficult...

Jowy had a large increase in score in the middle of his turn, which means a tech, which means someone fed him engineering. I'm guessing Cornflakes or Commodore - they are interested in us getting bogged down. Assuming that's the case, we will start walking away.
