It's the marble email and their attitude in it. Perhaps some latent frustration for losing the wonder, but mostly it's the fact they're being jerks about it.

We provided stone earlier on as part of the same agreement, which helped them to get the pyramids.

They delayed hooking up the marble, and used this excuse each time we asked about it, until the exact turn they landed nationalism.

They sabotaged their own position to get Nationalism as quickly as they did, and to complete the wonder as quickly as they did, specifically for the purpose of denying it to us. It was very obvious that our team was the only one other than them that had nationalism.

After landing it, they turn around and demand that we take the marble at exactly the time when we have no use for it, and give a bullshit explanation that only an idiot would believe.

They've been jerking us around since before the game started, and that's not going to change any time soon.

I think people really need to take a quick breath here and take off the tinfoil hats. The things being discussed over the last few pages don't exactly give us the moral high ground here.

And even if all the accusations turn out to be true (which I honestly doubt), there is no value in us antagonizing one of our neighbours just when we're about to start a major military campaign against another.

We need to reply to CFC or they will just consider their obligations with regards to the marble deal to be fulfilled. It's a very cheeky message because what they're actually trying to do is to rephrase the agreement to be something else than it was originally.

Still, I would support a cheerful good-natured response, i.e. Novice's draft with Azoth's edit.

We have a proposal to exchange maps from the Germans. Should we take it?

The main gain will probably be better visibility of the arctic islands.

I don't think I would trade maps with the Germans. We can map the ice on our own. No reason to give them our maps, which they will give away to everyone when we invade.
