Well I don't fear. I'm just aware of what they're capable of especially if given the opportunity execute whatever plan they have unhindered. So its not fear so much as we NEED to hinder them.
Mackoti is really good at picking the right overall choices. Seven is really good at micro. The combination means that they make the right choices + are efficient at doing it. Civ is about making the right strategic choice and microing those choices out. Thus as a team they are hard to beat.
I actually think Mackoti is the stronger player because right choices often supercede micro and he's impossible to understand.

So complex question: Shall we try for the city yet, or wait for a few more axes?

I say we move the two axes and the chariot NW, the warrior NW to the dyes for visibility on Iced Tea, and the chariot that is SW of the warrior 1N. We won't "move in" but we can start circling our units north. We can threaten Iced Tea that way and try to cut off reinforcements to Lemonade. Willow should build a spear instead of the archer build. Since it grows EOT and that mine will be finished it can steal that and get 10H this turn and 13 next turn and 2 turn the spear. Though I guess if we have chariots to cover our axes we should just go axe instead.
BUT We should only move north if we're serious about attacking. I think if we move the units NW we're going to have to start paying unit support costs. I'm in favor of putting pressure on them though.
-If 4 H is settling on the water with the island then maybe they have a legit reason to raze that city and its not too stupid.
-I think we should move the spear out of Rose and start advancing it towards 4H. We should also 2turn a spear in Lilly to send to rebuilding of Petunia.
-Also Oak is going to be such a commerce beast. Once we get the 2nd furs up, cottage that shit up.
-We should build a galley in Violet and pillage their nets so that Lemonade can whip tons of units out. SO I would switch to galley over axe for now.
-Do we have all EPs focused on Smack? Maybe we should focus all of them on just one of them so that we can get tech visibility on of their two civs faster.
-Move the axe that is near petunia back. If we build a Galley in Violet it can hop onto the Galley and reach Lemonade 2 turns quicker.

Posting on behest of a Commodore whose work is blocking RB at the moment.
Quote:As per Lewwyn's suggestions, I began to roll out. We're screening axes with chariots; it's not ideal, but we don't have other options. Willow is making another chariot, because we still only have one copper. That will be addressed next turn; also, next turn, I can whip out the galley, combining with a chop for another axe. I think we can take Lemonade.
In general, here's Darius. He's still growing up and up with these fertile coasts and good borders. I want to scout further west if possible, but we need All The Things at once, unfortunately.
And here's Joao. Once Petunia gets resettled and the Joaoi Moai get settled, we're going to have to start reaching. Rose is about to get its monastery chopped, then it can go into missionary duty. Marigold needs cottages too; we're about to have use for Joao's gold. I think it's about time to make a river-plains cottage and the last grass hill mine and swap the sheep to a pasture for Lilly; once it gets religion and furs it'll have the happy.

Okay, unless I miss my bet, two vultures and two spears defeat this force more times than not.
Rest of the empire(s) looks good.

So we're got a fair do here. Looks like Mackoti's Sumer is taking the brunt of the defense here while Rome explodes, that's fine though.
We're about to threaten Roman port city in the northeast, however. Triple fork for the win! Also, we'll have enough to take their pink dot unless they heavily reinforce next turn.
Seven is being restive in the west. It might be full, it might be empty; I whipped a granary with enough overflow to 1t an archer if needed. I think Mack's Sumer is pretty heavily engaged in the jungles, though.
Finally, we're still growing. Marigold is about to net us a settler with just copper and a plains hill while she waits for a missionary spread. Still no free spreads.
Joao needs Caste soon.

I'd take the 17% shot at razing the city, myself, but doubling down vs. Iced Tea works too.
