Yeah, doubt that'd change your own start.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

I think it's fair to say that the competitive spirit of this game won't be cranked up to the Parkin / Sullla level (knock on wood). So as far as my opinion is worth, it's almost impossible to be too spoiled to play right now, unless you've seen the world map or something.

Fine, but Bandit got there first so if he wants to play just let him smile

That doesn't sound like a disqualifying amount of spoiler info, if I was a player I'd be happy to see you join.

This doesn't bother me. Seeing someone else's starting position is less spoilerish IMO than seeing where your own resources (bronze, horses, etc) are ahead of time. Even if that is the case, I personally don't mind. Welcome to the game.

Or we could just partner together Kurumi. Your inconsequential spoiler knowledge combined with my Lionel Hutz avatar will make us a formidable pairing.

It sounds like the rest of the community wants you in the game, too.

I like wetbandit's suggestion. Kurumi, I believe you're also playing in Jowy's game? Teaming up will allow backup in case time commitment eats your soul.

teleh: no hard feelings. Thanks again for getting this started in the first place, and lots of respect for the obvious energy you put into updating the first post.

Yeah I am going to play! I have said that being in a team might not bode well for the team since I like to do my own stuff and to be responsible for it myself, but lets give it a shot. As for time, there might be a little problem during the summer, but I'll just get a DVD with CiV4 going and I'll manage things, even in the United Kingdom!

From stalking Jowy's game organization thread, two rules issues we ought to hash out:

1) Great Spies. We've said that spies are banned and GSpies are to be used for settling/GA, but we haven't established whether Scotland Yard is acceptable and, more importantly, whether you can use GSpies for scouting. My personal view is Yes Scotland Yard, No to Great Spy scouting.
2) Apostolic Palace resolutions. I'd forgotten because the only time I bothered with the AP in SP it was to immediately win the game, but the resident can do all sorts of silly things with it (like force people to go to war or peace). I'd suggest we ban it outright, but the +2h for AP religion buildings is good for monk economies. Therefore, my suggestion is that we borrow from their game and Ban the use of AP resolutions (including its diplo victory).

1) GSpy scouting is already banned by saying the GSpy can only settle or whatnot. I'm fine with Scotland Yard.

2) I suppose that this would prevent cheese AP victories...banning use of AP resolutions but keeping it buildable is fine with me, since monk economy.

Also, welcome to the game Kurumi! Nice to see another team-up. goodjob
