Agree with this, and lets keep the out of visibility of any city square so no passive espionage can spot them.
...or maybe stack them in Brick until we get an extension from CivPlayers.

Finishing up with the turn. We drafted Adventure One, Mansa's Muse, and Focal Point:
The capital and Focal Point regrow the lost pop point immediately. Mansa dropped a non-river plains cottage, and will slowly grow back at +2 food. We will give this city the deer tile eventually to help that, after the capital regrows to the happy cap.
Our team now has 13 maces:
And 450k Power:
I also 4 pop whipped the forge in Starfall for about 45 shields worth of overflow next turn. We will grow 8 cities next turn, and that will improve these Demographics numbers. The drafts and forge whips make this a painful period for our civ, but we have the population to burn, and it's all for the best in the long run.
Responding to one issue from the thread: we're not under any threat of naval invasion from the south any time soon. The distances involved are much too large; it would take the Germans about a dozen turns to sail north from their territory by galley and reach us in the Starfall area. I cannot possible envision them sailing units north across the polar worldwrap while their cities are being invaded... and even if they did, do we even care if 4 axes or whatever came up near us? Would that do anything against our ability to draft maces? Now down the road, sure, we'll have to be more careful in the post-Astronomy era. However, no teams even have Compass tech yet, much less Optics or Astronomy, so that will be dozens and dozens of turns in the future. We'll make sure to have galleons and frigates in the water (remember, we're aiming for Communism via Chemistry) when the time comes.
Finally, someone changed the build in Horse Feathers from a stables to a war elephant. Please remember not to change builds. Thanks.

Not worried about German naval invasion. But we need to designate a city or two as shipyards going forward. Particularly since we have the glh and plan to spam costal cities.
Most of the proposed costal cities have crap for production so we should focus this one on shields. We have plenty of other commerce cities.

Does anyone already have passive espionage sight into our cities? We need to be mindful of that

The best future spot for a naval base is Wien - enough food, and plenty of hammers. Right now, all we're going to need is really one or two triremes, mainly so we won't have to deal with pillaging barbarian (or German) galleys.

We need more than one. City specialization is longer term anyway.

CivPlayers has full "Investigate City" espionage on us. They haven't scouted us, but as soon as they trade for our map they can see everything.
That's why I advocate disguising our troop movements.

I'm pretty sure we can assume they have traded for our maps by now. And that they will pass along what they see to other people. Nothing wrong with healthy paranoia.

Here's the only EP totals against us that matter:
Code: Univers 173/97 - research visibility
Apolyton 226/3 - possibly full city visibility
Civplayers 775/32 - full investigate city
We have to assume that both Apolyton and CivPlayers have our maps and can see all our cities. In the spoilers is a mock up of the "safe tiles" for our army to move along. The purple is kind of an arterial thru our empire, that would keep our stacks hidden.
Ways to play the counter-espionage game: - Keep a big stack centrally located and move them all at once thru hidden tiles
- Keep our stacks hidden at all times (bait some scouting units)
- Keep several small stacks in cities, and disappear them all just in time to get them to the front.
I kind of like the last one, to put pressure on our neighbors when we push for NAP extensions. Yes, I realize that teams may have spy units running around us now, but there's nothing we can do about that.

Caledorn posted this over at CivFanatics:

The game is back up now.
To Team RB: It appears that I kicked your turnplayer from the game, and I must apologise for that. I hope you're okay with the fact that I did not have time to see if anyone were logged in as the time interval from the lightning flash to the thunder crash was just 5 seconds, so it was really close.
Ceiliazul: I like the suggestion of keeping our maces relatively spread out right now.
As for Let It Snow and Catherine, I think I'd gear both cities towards production. Neither site thas cottage-friendly terrain, and a single 1-1-5 tile does not make for a commerce city.
