I wouldn't read too much into it--certainly not that they're invading us but also not that they're trying to annoy us or anything.

Probably, although they didn't exactly move completely away when they saw the spear. Had to surprise them with a WC, managed to kill them with it this turn.

Nice to see your back Shoot, when are you able to play turns again? There's quite a bit you need to catch up on.

I'll be back with computer access tomorrow (roughly 24h from now to be more clear--denoting it that way is probably easier with timezones and all smile)

@ WK: Looking at HC's game, happiness isn't strictly necessary this turn unless 1 turn of unhappiness for Wrestle Wardrobe is too much and none of the cities can afford to work specialists as far as I can tell so delaying the switch to Rep doesn't seem like a bad idea. Really depends on what you plan on doing though.

A plan for completing Collosus should absolutely be done sooner rather than later and I'd quickly find a way for ReallyBadDancer to pull it off in short order. As for eastward expansion, it's a good idea but I don't know if we can really go far enough in that direction to take advantage of the land there before someone else gobbles it up. Then again I don't think we're given much of a choice but to move in that direction unless we wanna start cutting down that jungle (yeah, no...)

After looking through it in game for a bit, I think the best time to switch is after the settler completes in Used Car Lot.

Agree with this too. As soon as HC gets a source of copper again, I only need about 60 base hammers due to all the modifiers, and there's 2 forests nearby as well. T61 is my rough estimate.

Sort of what I'm thinking too. Gandhi kind of has to expand E, but there aren't many great sites over there. I think a higher priority is claiming the horse resource between HC and Seven though (if Seven hasn't done that already) so both civs can build horse units.

I've fallen behind in updates? Not acceptable.

Anyway, a couple of turns ago a GG was born somewhere. Which is kinda surprising since we've seen nothing of that caliber in enemy units yet (also it means I have to withdraw my complaint about 4H invading), but it's also good news. Just have to hope we can keep them away from us.

This turn, when Shoot plays, Currency will complete. From there, we should begin funding. I believe I should be the one to fund you, since your economy has a greater dependance on the slider then mine. Unfortunately we can't gift gold mid turn due to the rules, and I don't have enough to fund you next turn before playing myself, so in order for me to fund you next turn we need to do a gpt deal. Not something I particularly want to be doing, but its unavoidable.

Also Shoot, I'll be able to give you my copper next turn, but if you don't need it then you can cancel the copper gift to me the turn after. That said your cap could build some axes ASAP? In other misc news I get my 2nd GP next turn, here's hoping for a Scientist over an Engineer.

Our next tech will be CoL since someone (likely Smack) has Calendar, after that its hard to say. Best options are IW or Mono, not sure which one is better yet. Not much else to say, Shoot block a cow in mack's city for a turn, but he chopped out a spear so that didn't last long. I'm probing HAK's defenses with a WC, and managed to find his copper but he must have a spear that I can't see somewhere.

Random thought: since my city with a library has less commerce going through it than do your cities with libraries I should probably fund you for a while, no?

That's also why seven's GNP is so ridiculously high: mack's is a mere 7 due to GPT gifts.

Also, WK would you be around sometime tomorrow to chat? We still need to finalize the location of my next couple cities.

Perhaps who's funding is something we should clarify in-game? OTOH, if my next GP is a Scientist, the best use for it is probably a Academy somewhere, we could go with the long term option of your cap or the short term option of mine. Whoever does get it should be running 100% regardless (although, I can get the academy and run 0% if most of my research is scientists). We can change who funds easily enough anyway with more gpt deals.

Knew 7's GNP was beefed up by mack, but he still out researches us combined.

I don't think I can chat today, but there's a possibility I can. Just see if I'm online at the usual time or not.

Checked the science slider in-game:

Gandhi:
100% - 75 beakers, -17 gold
0% - 22 beakers, 30 gold

HC:
100% - 73 beakers, -28 gold
0% - 0 beakers, 32 gold

If Gandhi funds HC, then we create 95 bpt and 2 gpt (the gold will be ignored for convenience).

The other way around makes 75 bpt and 15 gpt. That excess gold can let HC run 100% once every 4t, creating 73 beakers every 4t (or 19bpt) for a total of 94bpt. So Gandhi funding HC slightly wins, presumably due to HC having more commerce (not beakers) going through the slider in cities with a library then Gandhi, even though Gandhi has more Libs total.

Ending turn gives me... a GE. frown Can't say it's useless, but a GS would be a lot more useful right now.

So, what do we want to do with him? Nothing good to rush atm (Colossus will be built next turn, GW is almost useless, we're not going for Calendar). IMO, we can either use him to bulb Machinery enroute to Guilds or save him for a wonder later on (GLib, Taj, ND).

Are you sure detouring to Calender isn't a viable option? Or would it take too long since someone else has it already/not help us outside of MoM?

Shoot tells me someone else already has Calendar.
