WW24: The Ashes of Brigdarrow: VILLAGE WINS

Just saying, it could also be that he deliberately claimed Miller to exactly get you to think that he certainly isn't scum because there is no reason for scum doing that in a setup that does explicitly state that there is no miller. I mean that is the beauty of this play, you get people to look somewhere else because they determine on their own that it can't be a scum-play OR if they ask about it, it quickly leads into a "but there is no reason to do that as scum", crazy theories getting thrown around and finally people losing interest and voting elsewhere. That's also why you have to do it early, later on there is not enough time for the potential wagon to disappear.

zakalwe Wrote:To clarify my stance on Azza's post. I don't see it as a scum tell, but I do see it as a null tell. If he's town, then his intention (like mine) is probably to get people talking, and if he's scum, then his intention is to pretend that he's town.

I would like to see more than one post from him. But I'm not getting a scum vibe from that post on its own.

I think the risk he takes there - if he is village - is much too high just to get people talking. Apart from it being done so early that it might actually make it easier for scum to hide. So as village play I think this is really bad. And I don't think Azza is a bad player.

It's not a big deal. I just think Slowcheetah contributed a lot already, but most of it was reactive comments. Most players tend to start the game with their own crazy thoughts about who's guilty and who's not, only stopping to hear other people's arguments after the votes are starting to consolidate (maybe not even then). So, the level of reactivity to activity of Slowcheetah pointed me to scum.

Serdoa is barking up the wrong tree, but I like that he's openly pushing for lynches.

Lewwyn's logic is similar to what I'd normally use, so he's fine there.

Mattimeo is just doing his standard meta stuff, nothing to see there.

Zak posts a list straight up of suspects. Then keeps his vote on the vote leader, Brick, working on the assumption that I'm going to attract lynch attention for my play (a reasonable assumption). I thought I saw something more suspicious in his other posts, but upon re-reading I can't find anything like that. Well that takes the wind out of my sails a bit.

I think I'll vote Rowain for pushing the Brick wagon that's soft as butter.

I am not seeing the comedy reasonings behind Zak's list and can't be bothered looking for the right now.

If the reason for azzas post and self vote is to get people talking then is dumb cos we are just talking about that topic not others who may be WW.

Best theory ATM is the hide in plain sight theory on azzas claim

Most people have commented on it/had a chance to comment on it. Didn't really give any good leads, and developed into 2 wagons against myself and Brick. I know I'm innocent, and given the lack of reasoning behind the Brick votes, I'm inclined to believe there are scum pushing him as well.

Agree with this.

I think you need to exaggerate more to make this hold water. I certainly don't start the game with any theories on who's scum. I agree with Slowcheetah's criticism of Serdoa's argument against Azza.

If anything I think that in the RB meta scum players feel more pressure to start pointing out scum tells, so they are more likely to make contrived cases like Ichabod's above than they are to play "reactively".

@all: Zak's scum list is alphabetically ordered.
I have to run.
