I don't think my case is contrived. I didn't mean that people have theories about who's guilty before the game starts. I mean that people are more likely to base their first votes in a game in something they've seen, rather than hear other people's arguments. I feel like scum are more pressed to comment on already presented arguments, because they feel pressured to participate and creating cases from nothing is hard (it's not like when you are village and can just punch a bunch of nonsense/whatever). Sum it all up and it points to slowcheetah.
But, yeah, I concede that lurking scum owns me. I only go for people who's talking.

I almost clicked on the lurker thread. Can we put the [NO LUrkers] at the beginning of the thread or something? Or maybe just:
WW24: Lurker thread[NO PLAYERS]
Its too clever for the sake of functionality.

You know what I am missing in all your post? A simply explanation of the why behind your first post, what you hoped to achieve etc. Your 2nd post makes it sound like it was a deliberate play to see how people react - but if it was I'm surprised that you don't state that outright in your post. That's feeling as if you are worried that someone could take such a statement and give you fire for it (and seeing how it backfired he might very well be right to do it).
Quote:Zak posts a list straight up of suspects. Then keeps his vote on the vote leader, Brick, working on the assumption that I'm going to attract lynch attention for my play (a reasonable assumption). I thought I saw something more suspicious in his other posts, but upon re-reading I can't find anything like that. Well that takes the wind out of my sails a bit.
Have you really not realized that he simply had all players in alphabetical order? Latest at the no lynch I thought everyone would realize it. Also here now you talk about that it was reasonable to assume that you would attract attention for your play. Why did you do it if it was reasonable to assume that it would lead to that? That's not very helpful for the town is it? Tbh, my alarm bells are ringing louder and louder because I feel your 2nd post implies something that you yourself contradict in the very same post.
@novice
You say you agree with slowcheetah that my argument is bad (that Azza tried to get people to look elsewhere) because he made himself a talking point. But is your and zaks and slows reaction not showing that it actually does work pretty well?

Can you exaggerate what you mean?
It's not a big deal. I just think Slowcheetah contributed a lot already, but most of it was reactive comments. Most players tend to start the game with their own crazy thoughts about who's guilty and who's not, only stopping to hear other people's arguments after the votes are starting to consolidate (maybe not even then). So, the level of reactivity to activity of Slowcheetah pointed me to scum.
I'm reactive by nature, and don't have vast amounts of history within RB WW. I've always been fairly cricumspect as both a villager and WW in previous games though.

Lewwyn's logic is similar to what I'd normally use, so he's fine there.
Mattimeo is just doing his standard meta stuff, nothing to see there.

I think I'll vote Rowain for pushing the Brick wagon that's soft as butter.
I agree with pretty much all Azza has written here, barring his vague Zak suspicion (Zak feels like he's hunting to me). Azza's gambit/joke feels poorly executed though. What answers were you hoping to get from your miller play Azza? How was anyone going to reveal themselves scum from it?

Do you have reads on your own SC?
While Azza has now given a reason why he votes for me you have not done so except your lazy revenge-vote at the start of the day.

Zak feels like he's hunting and feels town to me. As does Serdoa although perhaps lesser. Azza feels innocent but is playing an odd village game if so. I'd rather some other candidates occur
I haven't made up my mind on you yet. I want to see what happens with the brick shakedown, since three of the "powerplayers" are voting for him.

Yay, I get to be one of the recipients of the day one buses.
I'm popping in on my lunch break, soI don't have too terribly long. But, there is one thing in particular that is statnding out to me on a read-through: the later post of Azza's.
Now, I don't really like the previous reason for people voting Azza, while that "miller claim" does have an element as some people say of drawing a lot of discussion away from WW hunting, it was a starting day 1 comment and while there is data to be found and hunted on for day 1, since the vast majority of people come in here and just post whatever strikes their fancy for the first page or two of posts, I don't think it should really be taken that seriously.
However, his response post made me feel squirmy. It sounds to me just like "Oh, hey, look, I'm involved by commenting a little bit on everything." AND not really any comment on his previous post either. It;s nothing completely damning, but it does feel like an attempt to just put enough forward to look visible without really construction much of something. I'll put my vote on Azza for now, but keep my eyes open as the day goes on.

I posted it because I felt like it. It's not worth the effort to pretend I had some grand plan behind it. After I posted it, I realised that there might be some benefits in seeing how people react to it.

I didn't see that it was alphabetical order, what I saw was that Zak was also jumping on Brick, putting him in the lead. I'm leaning closer to you being scum given your insistence on my wagon. Attack someone who isn't known for being particularly good at defending themselves, who has exposed themselves.
