I'm popping in on my lunch break, soI don't have too terribly long. But, there is one thing in particular that is statnding out to me on a read-through: the later post of Azza's.

Lewwyn's logic is similar to what I'd normally use, so he's fine there.

Mattimeo is just doing his standard meta stuff, nothing to see there.

Zak posts a list straight up of suspects. Then keeps his vote on the vote leader, Brick, working on the assumption that I'm going to attract lynch attention for my play (a reasonable assumption). I thought I saw something more suspicious in his other posts, but upon re-reading I can't find anything like that. Well that takes the wind out of my sails a bit.

I think I'll vote Rowain for pushing the Brick wagon that's soft as butter.

Now, I don't really like the previous reason for people voting Azza, while that "miller claim" does have an element as some people say of drawing a lot of discussion away from WW hunting, it was a starting day 1 comment and while there is data to be found and hunted on for day 1, since the vast majority of people come in here and just post whatever strikes their fancy for the first page or two of posts, I don't think it should really be taken that seriously.

However, his response post made me feel squirmy. It sounds to me just like "Oh, hey, look, I'm involved by commenting a little bit on everything." AND not really any comment on his previous post either. It;s nothing completely damning, but it does feel like an attempt to just put enough forward to look visible without really construction much of something. I'll put my vote on Azza for now, but keep my eyes open as the day goes on.

There's a saying about people in glass house not throwing bricks, or something along those lines, that probably applies here.

Not throwing bricks under buses? Is that the one? tongue

I agree with Novice that the active/reactive theory seemed a bit contrived. Looks like something Wolfabod might come up with. Townabod usually doesn't embellish his theories so much.
If you know what I mean.

Hey you mentioned BRicks, what a funny. cool

I really don't know what to say to you though. I saw you doing something that looked scummy, and that has been proven to look scummy before, so I wanted to call it out and give reasoning why I had a problem with it. If you wanna call back and say the same thing you have a right to do so, but on reading the thread, that's what's stuck out to me so far, so that's what I said.

Well, when Slowcheetah reveals as a wolf we can discuss if it was contrived or not.

And Wolfabod will do what's best to take Zak, the hunter, out of his feet:

What do you mean, Ichabod? You think Brick is innocent and want to mislynch him to prove that I'm on the wrong track? I don't get it.

No, I'm implying that you cut some slack for potential wolves when they vote with you. And I'm saying that I find BRick worthy of a vote. I suspect him, more than I suspect Azza.

In other words you're trying to bribe the cops.

For the greater good, yes. Zakalwe shouldn't waste time with me.

You know what I am missing in all your post? A simply explanation of the why behind your first post, what you hoped to achieve etc. Your 2nd post makes it sound like it was a deliberate play to see how people react - but if it was I'm surprised that you don't state that outright in your post. That's feeling as if you are worried that someone could take such a statement and give you fire for it (and seeing how it backfired he might very well be right to do it).

I posted it because I felt like it. It's not worth the effort to pretend I had some grand plan behind it. After I posted it, I realised that there might be some benefits in seeing how people react to it.

Tbh, I expected something along the lines of "That was a topic of discussion in a few WW-games we played so I found it funny and only after posting realised ...". Won't help to discuss this further though, but I feel your whole reasoning is weak and is missing the key points that make it believable imo.

Have you really not realized that he simply had all players in alphabetical order? Latest at the no lynch I thought everyone would realize it. Also here now you talk about that it was reasonable to assume that you would attract attention for your play. Why did you do it if it was reasonable to assume that it would lead to that? That's not very helpful for the town is it? Tbh, my alarm bells are ringing louder and louder because I feel your 2nd post implies something that you yourself contradict in the very same post.

I didn't see that it was alphabetical order, what I saw was that Zak was also jumping on Brick, putting him in the lead. I'm leaning closer to you being scum given your insistence on my wagon. Attack someone who isn't known for being particularly good at defending themselves, who has exposed themselves.

And that "reply" just smells like a try to discourage me from pursuing you by calling me scum. First you said it was reasonable to assume you would attract attention, now you explained that you "just felt like posting it" - a contradiction I pointed out in the last post already - and when questioned about it you realize that you don't get me as easily off you and start to attack instead. I mean are you honestly calling me scum because I "insist" on your wagon? Of course I insist on it when you are not even able to answer why you did it except with "I felt like it" and when you ignore half the questions or only answer them after being asked a second and third time.

If you want me off you, start not playing like scum.
