WW24: The Ashes of Brigdarrow: VILLAGE WINS

Darn a novice day 1 kill is unfortunate.

Its also a risky play by scum given we could potentially have 3 doctors. Does any of you who role scum a bit more often than me have thoughts on which player you have scummed with before would or wouldnt take the risk of going after Novice (the most likely person to be protected imo)

I guess it also suggests (assuming power roles didnt get in the way) no vig

I spent the whole day chewing over suspicions of Novice in my head. Now I'm going to need to recalibrate my apparently faulty scumdar.

Q, is there any meaning we should be understanding about Molach getting a mention?

No.
There is no meaning in the writeup not contained within the end.
Erebus in the Balance - a FFH Modmod based around balancing and polishing FFH for streamlined competitive play.

My first thought was that this is a weird post.

What are the odds of three doctors, Jkaen? And what about a SK?

I disagree.

Novice has been killed which was a risky play, by reviewing who is likely to make that risky play we can get a lean on who may have placed that order.

Whats so wierd about that

Odds on 3 doctors are low, but there can be up to 3, whats the odds on at least 1 doctor, and what are the odds that any doctor would protect Novice night 1. I would say not insignificant

Remember, only 7 rolls are made for town abiltiies, with auto-villagers filling out the rest. That makes it perfectly possible to miss out on a doctor. And if I were a one-shot doctor, I wouldn't use my ability on Day 1 because there's not much chance of matching up with the scum kill. So I doubt there was a whole lot of doctoring going on last night.

In further bad news, it's likely Novice was our only cop, unless Q rolled 3/7 times within that 15% range. So here's to blindly setting forth into the darkness! toast

I have a bad feeling about Gazglum. His comments attempting to console Brick yesterday felt rather forced, like a wolf who was trying a little too hard to blend in with the village. He's relatively quick to post after the deadline, questioning what (to me) feels like obvious flavour text.

I agree, and I think that Tasunke offered a very attractive target for the wolves to park their vote at the end of the day and merge into the crowd. I think we can still glean some info out of the end of day 1 shenaningans based on that.

Here he pushes the theory that scum are amongst those voting to kill deadweight Tasunke. However, it's in scum's best interests to keep a complete deadweight townie in the game. Late during day 1, he also proposed replacing, modkilling or vigkilling him, the latter two clearly benefitting scum (free townie kill).

Other posts by him I don't particularly like...
Post 147 - Chastises Serdoa slightly for his attacks on me, but completely sits on the fence regarding anyone's alignment.
Post 109 - Again, more sitting on the fence. States he doesn't like the pressure on Brick, but keeps his vote on Brick. Accuses Zak of overthinking, then says people posting aren't scummy, while people who aren't posting aren't scummy either.
