By the way, Serdoa, why did you choose investigation immunity over 1-shot bulletproof?
I have to run.
(May 28th, 2013, 08:44)MJW (ya that one) Wrote: @ Serdoa: In 90% of the cases I can as the deadline is 10 AM for me, so right when I sit in office, drinking my second or third coffee of the day. Was just today a meeting - that I actually had intended not to be at, but was told to. But overall partly my fault I feel, I should have either pushed harder for Mattimeo or changed my vote to BRick in the morning. That would have made it harder to instigate such a rush on me. @novice I thought if they try to kill me one night I would be dead the next anyhow (early game you can assume that doctor might change) and also that I probably would not be gunned at early on with that roster tbh (novice, zak, Ichabod are all targets that are often higher valued, especially if I go for the wrong targets). But investigation is easily possible so I'd rather be immune to that. Also because I might be able to claim 1-shot Vig as soon as I have a better idea of the setup. Tbh, I still don't get that run on me. Not only the run itself, which was weird anyhow, but also why me? There are several more targets available but 3 people gun me - I think zak and maybe Rowain too even claimed I was most certainly villager, I think Azza also in his one reply called me villager. No matter if you are scum or village, why do you make such a switch? What if I come up village? Not only that I am pissed (and honestly if you are really concerned about that, it doesn't make it better by posting "ha ha, he will be so pissed", just saying), I mean that's unimportant I am dead at that point. But you basically set yourself up as target for the next days. That's what I don't get, as that play really makes no sense for me for either alignment. *sigh* Yeah, I'm really getting frustrated the more I think about it, simply because I can't learn anything for the future from this, they just screwed me for no reason. Which basically defeats for me the purpose of the game (deduction) and makes it a lottery. Not opposed to be part of one, but I'll certainly not invest as much time again in these games.
Oh, and I know you all can't hear it anymore, but I have to comment on this part of zaks post:
zakalwe Wrote:Why did I go for Serdoa? First of all, I know he can play a tight scum game, and his play was consistent with that. Yes, he scumhunted, but he was slightly more passive than usual, especially towards me. So maybe a bit more afraid to catch heat than usual. I don't believe I have ever called him innocent so far, despite being pretty lavish with my town reads in general. I was not more passive than usual, especially not towards zak. There was simply nothing to go on in regards to zak. Had he kept his play and I had not killed him N2 I would have started D3 to mention that we don't have good reads and that zak seems much to quiet and happy and would have started to work on him. But I said before that I don't trust my zak-reads on D1 and D2, so there was no reason to go for him yet. As for the second part, he might be right that he never called me innocent. He never mentioned me at all basically, so I'm not sure what I should have attacked him for or had been more active towards him. Tbh, playing SK is imo pretty easy. Just play like always, as it is no difference anyhow. You want to get rid of the scum as early as possible and than just have village kill themselves. And yes, I trust in myself that I can get village doing that. Actually, I think if zak is scum I would have had good chances to win if they hadn't lynched me. Oh well... still pissed. So much time to be lynched with no case, no reason, no nothing. Just because village didn't agree on a target ![]()
That was the most bullshit lucky lynch ever. I will say I thought Serdoa a touch suspicious just because I always find it weird when he goes after easy targets - not his style at all. But there was no way he should have gotten lynched today.
If zak is scum its because Serdoa killed novice and he scum NK was blocked. There's a myriad of reasons that it is unlikely he'd target novice. I think it is entirely possible that both zak and Rowain are town. But I'm kinda to square one here. I think I'd push zak tomorrow to be sure, though.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
Either Zak or Rowain might be scum, and they might have been SK-hunting with that lynch. Scum would probably have info to decide a SK was in play - by looking at their roles and such? Either could take the risk and feel confident they could defend next day regardless of lynch result (village or SK, both good).
Ichabod being 100 % sure of Zaks guilt then getting killed - was this a frame job or just 'silence a voter + claim one is being framed' job? You forgot to kill some lurkers tonight as well....many have posted here....

Didn't think it appropriate without a writeup.

IMO this is a horrible post:
If you think he's a power role, then sharing is of no use as it can only give the scum information/make a doctors job harder. If he's not then it contributes nothing to the discussion. If you think he's scum then attack bins nd he may be outed as a PR or not, but at least don't try to out one.

zakalwe, on being called out on my lynch being a gamble Wrote:It's not such a big gamble if you already feel like you're headed for a mislynch. Thats bullshit. Even if you feel you are headed for a mislynch it is still a gamble to move away from the target that did give scum-vibes to the target that was called town all around. The potential to screw up the town twice (mislynch on your target, mislynch on you) is way higher than mislynching the target that was discussed all day. Also mislynching the target that was discussed might give leads, mislynching someone that was not really mentioned much isn't getting you anything in terms of behaviour of other players. And lastly, lynching me is taking away a good hunter from the village imo. I really agree with Jkaen, that was a big gamble to take if he is village. His statements afterwards (I annoyed scum so much they won't kill me in the night...) are just laughable at best, even if he is village. Sorry zak, but if you are village, you are playing godawful right now imo. But after thinking about this a little bit, I think I know what happened, but I can't tell it (had it written already...), as it would reveal my night-action. Anyhow, I am still frustrated. That was sooo much fun to be SK. ![]()
Can you pm it to me?

Hello, people.
Serdoa's lynch was very strange. To be fair, I haven't even read all the post of the end of day 2 yet. I don't get to the lynch deadline in time and since it was night, I decided not to look too much at the game. But what I've skimmed made it look completely random, so i guess there's a factir somewhere that I'm not seeing. This leads me to think scum is involved. I was suspecting Zak before, though. I ended day 2 voting for him. I would still vote for Slowcheetah and I'd have to think about Lewwyn and Rowain. I don't know about the others... WW became a lot more fun when I stopped caring that much. I just read the posts and vote on whatever seems the most suspicious to me. Yeah, I won't be convincing anyone any time soon (and possibly only convincing people when my target is village), but it's better than stressing out. |
