im not able to draft too much, I overdrafted and whipped and need to recover.. not just happiness, but population too, hehe. drafting about 2 per turn, in the globe city and wherever I can fit in a second draft. for now.

7 turns until sankore. also was able to 1 turn an expansive harbor in the capital with 30 overflow, and still have 25 overflow to put into the bank I was building, so thats nice .

I want to accept. issues:

1. beginner man I targetted, but Im not sure where bactarian is. not completely sure what im accepting here.

2. not sure if its bad faith to accept payment for a war then accept a peace deal 1 turn later without even killing soldiers. does taking spoils and 2 cities from Q make it good faith?

The fact it hasn't been renamed makes me bet that Bactrian is a newly captured barb city.

I think we should ask for another city or two at least. You've scouted the troops in range haven't you?

Better to try and push for more as losing one and a half cities for him won't be bad compared to locking one front in peace for ten turns.

Plus you can sign peace straight after declaring with no consequences IMO - all they paid you for was to declare.

How much do you think you would take if peace wasn't on the table?

ok, this was what I was thinking too, so glad to hear the same from you. I think bactrian is indeed the crappy ice city north of beginner man, which is no good. I think I can easily tak ebeginner man and raze 3-4 cities. its possible with 2 movers I can even raze a lightly defended one like rock this turn. ok, im going to refuse, play the turn, and make a counter offer. glad you're up .

i just offered this. at was researching education so my timeline was running out. now at least i can offer him liberalism, if he ever discovers something again I don't have. he accepted while i was doing war manuevers.
I think he could have picked up a city or two if he joined in the war. I did at least make him waste some gold partially researching education (at least 3 turns at 100%) so there's that. he's working on banking now, which I can't give him anyway (NTT).

i'd like to see 2 metra or commodore gain some ground, but cornflakes seems to be using the brunt of his defense on them and not us, which is dandy.

cornflakes did indeed evactuate beginner man, so I took it with a single musket:


a granary, forge, and most importantly, courthouse, survived .

i sent a single musket up to bactarian:

and captured another worker! plus 2 workers captured by a cat SE of the deer! I've already captured 4 workers, which is extremely helpful! the first one has already gone to work, these 3 will move towards our home next turn .

ruck is not empty, but might as well be:

ill have 5-6 units that can hit it if he reinforces, which I doubt he will.


ok so I thought I took a better picture of this, but I guess it didn't take. I found the army cornflakes retreated from beginner man! oh this was a blunder! rather than holing up in the city with cultural bonuses, thanks to all the 2 movers I was able to wipe out the entire stack (4 cats, 3 maces, an axe and an impi) on the pig tile here, losing only 1 knight in the process!


I don't know as many memes as TT, but I renamed Beginner man "overattached GF," shortened form of overly attached girlfriend.
I made an offer for peace! I demanded where am i, umbrage, and apocolypse, plus chemistry and his world map (he has 2k gold and I didn't demand any of that). I have no idea if he'll accept, but if he refuses I'll be able to take where am I, and raze Ruck and Bactrain. I also have a force gathering (mix of cats/1 movers and more muskets) gathering west of umbrage.

apocolypse is the real prize, I want want want! a couple of towns, 2 gold mines, grassland workshops and lots of food to work them all! Jobs is pretty good too, and if he refuses I'll be able to threaten it.

TT, I'm leaving on a trip - just slipped my mind that this would cause a problem here. I asked for a pause, but if you can pick up a turn on friday and/or sunday I'm sure it would make our opponents happy . I'll be back Sunday afternoon/evening to play that turn for sure!

im going to try and take my laptop with me, actually, although I certainly won't be able to play unless very late friday night, so will still need pause. if you do play, some notes:

1. wait until last chance in national epic city to 1 pop whip the temple, then overflow into priest wonder. going to do the same with forge and hindu monastery for overflow, then build it straight. we are going to get a late game shrine hehehe .

2. there's a couple of barbs invading (sword, axe incoming) from the northwest. I have a musket ready to hit the sword, no problem, just be careful and don't send it east to the battlefield

3. if you play till you can revolt, stay in nationalism - you can switch to caste and mercantilism if you wish. the capital needs to develop a bit more for buro to pay off, and im trying to make sure we are in either slavery or nationalism for the future, just in case.

wow this is tough. jobs is not as good as apocolypse, but its probably the second best city in the former azza-land part of cornflakes empire. apocolypse is VERY good, though. this will isolate bacterian and ruck, but I can build culture in overlyattached GF and jobs to crush ruck, and probably just leave the crappy bacterian alone, letting it be a useless drain on cornflakes economy.

im not going to decide tonight. ill grab the turn when I arrive in college station friday night, but please give your opinion TT . the problem is I don't know how well apocolypse is defended.. but I do think I could take it, eventually. taking 3 cities and an expensive tech now is might tempting though.. I would just have to hope commodore and 2metra don't make peace w/ cornflakes in the next 10 turns .

I can cover as an absolute last resort, but I think that given the current situation, its better that you keep playing so that you can keep moving things the way you had planned and I don't make any errors to mess things up because I'm not fully clued up.

I would reject this offer too. I'd head for who am I and then go for Apocalypse. That is the bounty of this war and I think the fact he keeps offering more and more shows his weakness. We could then clear up the smaller cities at leisure most likely. Only way I'd accept peace without Apocalypse would be with a lot of gold.

The fact he is offering cities but no gold despite having a tonne of it suggests he has a valuable research target he's heading towards that he won't give up gold for. Thus we probably need to capitalise on our advantage while we have it. We are moving fast which makes that advantage greater.

I think that we need to get Apocalypse or at least 500 gold to make the offer acceptable right now. I feel that if we accept peace without a massive advantage like big gold or Apocalypse, we will give him enough time to make another advance much more painful and unprofitable. This is our one chance to really put ourselves at an advantage.
