I think most likely his research path is replaceable parts--> rifling. Not sure why he detoured to chemistry, really (he has workshops so it is extra hammers).

What about Steel? Doesn't Chemistry lead to that? Cannons could be pretty nasty...

I guess thats an option too. his army is mostly cats and maces now. I haven't seen any knights, although he has guilds.

. AT even had 5 whips, not sure what thats about. his economy is doing quite well, hopefully commodore and 2 metra will help me dogpile him after cornflakes is taken care of .

I razed 2 cities and captured 1 this turn. apocolypse has a stack of muskateers threatening next turn, with only a mace and axe defending, and jobs has been evacuated! cornflakes power continues to rise - 2metra and commodore appear to be taking heavy casualties on their front.

I didn't offer a peace deal, lets see what he proposes. I want apocolypse, at the very least, with some goodies thrown on top.

yup thats 5 cities plus chemistry he's offering. im going to take 20-30 minutes to think about it, but im pretty sure I refuse. apocolypse will more than pay for the maintenence, but these cities will not. umbrage I want as a bridge to apocolypse, jobs is good but I will take that anyway as he's evacuated. Kayak is ok, but farmville is tundra garbage, and bahh is grassland but only size 2 recently and probably needs a lot of worker labor and infastructure. plus bah would be very hard to defend in a future war vs cornflakes.

Im thinking Ill refuse, capture jobs and hopefully apocolypse, then demand umbrage, and maybe kayak, plus chemistry and half his cash.

I don't think I realized until this turn how damn good France is. Scooter said it right, this war is like fighting cornflakes with cheat mode enabled. It doesnt hurt that he keeps retreating and leaving me empty cities hehe. damn muskateers are fun, though.

umbrage was interesting. he had 4 fortified maces in there, 3 of them had C1. I had 7 muskateers that could reach it, but they only had 20% odds against the C1 mace. I decided to gamble with one. I got lucky and won that, so committed to taking it this turn. I lost the next 2, then won against the unpromoted mace at 23% odds. that left 3 muskets to clean up the 2 injured maces, no more losses. unfortunately I didn't decide to do this until I had moved other units in the area, so I have nothing to clean up the mace and axe there that were apparently coming to reinforce.


bah is undefended. that cornflakes musket has CG1, and probably will be moving to kayak. fortunately, all of TT's muskets have pinch . That was a very fortunate event .


advancing on paradigm. no idea when im going to run into actual defense, but I've got more reinforcements coming in. Paradigm is a good city, but I think I'll have to raze it - I don't want another border with a soon a potentially dangerous AT, and anyway it will get culture swamped by blimp and AT, too.


this is what azza's former empire now looks like. if he refuses my peace deal, i'd like to raze bah, kayak, and paradigm to create some distance between him and us, and make a reprisal pointless should he make peace w/ commodore and 2metra and choose to come after us once the peace treaty wars off.

for the peace deal, I'm going to let the turn roll, then ask for Kayak, chemistry, and 90% of the cash he has left . the cash will be awesome if he does accept, but if he doesnt, I can deal with that too - the capture gold from his cities is helping as well . our economy is once again in the toilet, only +7 gold at 0% science. ill switch to mercantilism next turn, but NOT buro, to see if some specialists can help more than trade routes. (btw, I did offer open borders to jowy, more out of pity than I think it will help us, hehe).

I think AT should have joined the war, Blimp and paradigm would have been nice for him.

what is this, 4 turns we've been at war? I've captured 5 of cornflakes cities, and razed 3 others! (total loses so far: one knight, two musketaeers, lol) commodore and 2metra have combined to capture 1 city (commodore)! Get on the ball guys

ok so cornflakes went from 1440 to 1308 as the turn rolled, from 7 turns to 6 turns on steel.

cannons will be very strong here, they will easily be the strongest unit anyone can field. I would have to run around them iwth muskateers and knights, hehe. I think i've done my part and can't really afford to capture anymore cities, i would have to raze anything else. so I offered him peace for chemistry, 1200 gold, and kayak. kayaka isn't that great, but its ok and a buffer city.
anyway he wants his cash he logged in and I didn't get a score increase, so I guess he turned down the deal. Guess I get to continue the war

i might take a counter offer with less cash and chemistry, we'll see. but I want a wad of cash and chemistry most of all, hehe .

maybe that was a bit greedy. I re-offered the same deal w/ 800 gold instead of 1200. in the mean time.


i razed bahh. probably will raze kayak if he doesnt accept my deal. both undefended.


pork chop undefended. paradigm actually has a sizeable force - a longbow, 2 macemen, an impi, and 3 muskets, plus one I can't reach here that can reinforce. I'll have to wait for reinforcements to push on into paradigm.

not finishing the turn now, need to get to bed. plus I know cornflakes is logging in several times each turn to see the state of the war, so maybe he'll accept this less greedy offer, or try to negotiate.

You are doing a great job so keep up the good work!

Just a quick warning - don't overstretch too far that we could end up vulnerable to a counter attack and not have enough to defend much of what we have taken

I'd drop the gold down as low as 500 to get a deal atm - that should dent the research pace along with the loss of these cities.

You've shown good judgement so far though, so keep going how you see fit. This is much more of a cautionary statement than any kind of strict instruction!

not really sure he's going to give me cash. for some reason he'd rather me keep razing cities than give up the cash.

I offered same deal w/ 500. I have to take or raze kayak for culture reasons. I'll raze it this turn and offer him the same deal with 0 cities (just chemistry and 500 cash). if he doesnt accept ill have to keep building up on paradigm. I don't really want to raze that, as I afraid it will make at too strong, but don't know what else to do if he won't take peace.
