Construction did indeed come in; now I'm back down to 0%. If it's okay with everyone, I think I'll revolt to Organized Religion this coming turn. Then I'll build missionaries, both for me and for HAK I guess.

HAK's jungle city looks good to me. Needs plenty of archers in it though.

Which marble wonders do you want HAK? I'd save the marble city until you absolutely have to settle it - so probably moai next. Also does the fish-gold city work better 1ne on the desert hill?

That's a tough one, but I think it might be better off staying where it is marked. If we move it NE onto that hill, then it will have 4 deserts in it's fat cross, and will only have access to a single grass riverside tile. So the only benefit I can see of doing so is that it puts it onto a hill for better defense.
If we were going to move it north for a hill, I'd almost think moving it 2N onto that PlainsHill. Doing so loses the fish (but Moai city will still have it), but it gains the lake which will provide 3 food after a Lighthouse is built. Though I would say we only do this if we had no intention of making a city in the east of my upcoming jungle gems city.

Guys, I don't know how to ask this after making a long-term committment to this game, but is there anyone else who'd be interested in taking the driver's chair indefinitely? I think I'm just about done with competitive Civ (or anything); it's way too emotionally taxing and I need to deal with other stuff in life. As much as I'll miss playing these games, I think it'd be better for me if I just went back to lurking, commenting I guess since I have an account, and not stressing about winning. Obviously I'm still capable of playing till someone from within our group or without is able to take over. I don't know if I actually want to do this but I think it'd be for the best.

I can take over the driver's seat if no one else wants it, but i'd prefer if someone more experienced can take over. Also if I am going to take over i'll be gone for early August, so someone needs to take over then.

I can also play most of the turns for both our civs most of the time, as long as we keep getting good amounts of input from everyone, which we seem to be getting.

And speaking of August, may as well remind everyone that I'll be away getting married (on 8/10) and then my honeymoon from 8/8 through 8/26. I will be bringing my laptop, so occasionally I may be able to play a turn, but in general I should not be counted on for that time period.

Just posting an update of the recent log:


I got a free Hindu spread this turn. Sending a Missionary to Mt Loon, and will have two more out next turn which will go to Asylum and some other city.
After next turn while the other two missionaries are en-route, I'll revolt to Hinduism.

THH, if you haven't had time to play your turn before I head off to work in the morning, I suppose I'll do so.

Got distracted getting ready for work and almost forgot to post these, so this will be super quick:

Looks like LAM is gonna be the first one to race for settling the H shaped island in the middle of everyone.




We also need to discuss what to tech after Iron Working (which we get in 2 turns, if THH doesn't revolt next turn after the Settler for me generates). Personally I think either Metal Casting (for Forges), Aesthetics (for Parthenon, and working towards Literature), or Feudalism (for Longbows):
