I don't think you are going to score any point in the end game calculations if you sell the Spanish out to UniverCiv and CivFR unless the Spanish oblige. I'm also concerned that neighboring equally sized French states would naturally gravitate towards each other because of communication issues.
Maybe we can talk to UniversCiv and CivFR about carving CP and CFC up.

Scooter, as for the German war declaration, leave WPC out of it I would say. And don't wish them good luck, when we really wish them all the rotten RNG luck in the world.
War Declaration Draft Wrote:GWT,
As you seem to have figured out, our team will be declaring war on your team this turn and taking the second half of the turn timer. As for a reason, we felt it was the right decision for our team.
Thanks,

Once we research Alphabet there is (spies). I think that will be the next tech to go for after Engineering (Alphabet -> Printing Press -> Gunpowder).

The CFC/CivFr thing is interesting. I suspect it's mostly phony, but I'll draft something right away.

Draft to CivFr Wrote:CivFr,
I noticed CFC declared war on your team. Any idea why they did that? Just figured I'd check in and make sure you guys weren't in any danger. Let me know if there's anything we can do to help.
Thanks,

It might be that they had a unit with a Spanish stack, and were hit by collateral.

That only happens when you cast spells in FFH. Let's hope CFC were getting greedy and intercepted CivFr in fear of the latter trying to snipe a city from the former!

I still do not understand why we emailed the Germans and told them we were declaring war. They had to be 99% sure, but why remove all doubt? We could have sent that exact same email after declaring war. I mean, I realize that this is minor, but there's still zero reason to tell them what's coming ahead of time.

Plako even posted in here that they were planning to try to play before us, and their immediate login at the start of the turn backs that up. There's no doubt to remove. On the other hand, we don't want them personally offended and spiteful, because then we end up in a world where they give everything to WPC just to spite us. Also, we said we wanted to make it clear we're taking the second half so they don't screw around and try not to end turn, since it's within our right to do so.
