Any chance for an awesome stream again?

The Germans ended turn, and I'm in the game.
The Germans haven't attacked any of our units. Helm's Klamm is empty but for an axe. Wasserburg contains 3 axes (one C1) and a spear, and one of our maces gets 25.10% odds against their top defender. We are making 187gpt at max tax, and we need 373g to finish Engineering this turn (we have 269, so need circa 108 more).
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width
What odds does a WE get against a spear (maybe giving combat 1 and shock to it)? If we get rid of the spear as top mounted defender, our WCs could have good odds against the axes, right?
Sorry if this was already suggested. By the way, this can be useful for anyone that wants to test things: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=4212 - In this link you can download Sareln's combat calculator, which is very good.
Here's a couple pictures now that we can log into the game:
This little city has one axe and one spear defender, no walls, no cultural defenses. We can promote the knight to Combat I / Shock to take out the spear, and then hit the axe with war chariots (which can also promote on the same line). Both should be well over 90% odds, and we can afford to lose a battle as well. This city should fall barring really bad luck. Unfortunate side note: the CivPlayers horse archers are pillaging roads and tile improvements in neutral territory. In other words, being absolute dicks to us. I would dial them up right away and tell them that they had better stop screwing around with us, or they can kiss any hope of a future relationship goodbye. (Nor is this the only such indicator of these practices from other teams...) I moved a mace onto the forested grassland hill for vision. We still do not see the main German army, which is a real shame. I was hoping they would pile it into Wasserburg and try to defend it. Instead, they have made this weird defense with 4 units inside the city... I guess they thought evacuating would serve no purpose? Strange though. I would argue here that we value speed over safety; the longer the war lasts, the more bloody it becomes. I would not use the catapults to bombard Wasserburg because we can move them W-NW onto the pigs this turn instead once the city falls, and be a turn closer to hitting Worms. The defenders of Wasserburg are pictured above: three axes and a spear. The best way to go is probably what Icabod suggested above, give a war elephant C1 / Shock and use that to clear the spearman. That's 30% odds to win, a gambler's chance of winning outright and a near certainty of doing enough damage to remove the spear as a defender. Then the best odds are actually from war chariots: C1 / Shock war chariot gets 80% odds to defeat the axe that has full fortify bonus (the other two do not). If we get decent combat luck, we sacrifice one elephant to take the city and move the rest of the one-movers (and all the cats) onto the pigs tile to keep pressing on Worms. Of course, it couldn't be quite that simple: Oh hey look, one of the other teams is supplying the Germans with ivory so that they can build war elephants too. Don't you love full diplomacy games? (And yes, I'm aware that we're doing the same thing to help the Spanish. Don't remind me.) So which team is sending them ivory, surely CFC or CivPlayers, right? CivFr, you got some 'splaining to do. I would email/chat with them immediately and tell them to knock that shit off, or they won't be getting anything from us for the rest of this game. I'm tentatively planning on playing/streaming the turn this evening, in roughly four or five hours time from this post. I'll type here in the forums before I start. Apologies to people in different time zones, we're spread out all over the world and I know it won't be convenient for everyone.
Can CivFr stop giving that Ivory immediately or there's a 10 turns window before they can cancel it?
