I think if I posted this in pindi's thread, it'd just be more fuel on the fire. But I've got an opinion!

Well, all other promos take effect immediately. You don't have to wait a turn for your Combat bonuses to apply to the attack you're about to make.
Ideally it might behave like Haste in FFH, keeping track of how much movement you've spent and addressing your movement debt before giving you new movement. But this is a lot of coding for something that might happen a handful of times in a game.
Besides...many Great Generals are known for the heroic marches they've convinced their armies to make.

Also, this major game breaking hack? it requires the use of a GG to implement, which is a relatively scarce resource to begin with.

Ok, I agree that if we decide that this is a cool GG-only feature, then fine. I'll accept it. But if you polled everybody in RB before today, would you even find 10 people who knew this was possible?
Well, if were making a list, I guess I'm in it. I'm pretty sure that most FFH players would know about it too, as like Mardoc said, it is very similar to Haste, and every FFH player knows about Haste.

Yeah, I knew it too. I've used it a couple of times against the K-Mod AI who isn't completely atrocious at combat.

I knew it too, funnily enough because NobleHelium raised it in the demogame about 50t ago.

Its also brought up in FFHPBEM1, in pocketbeetles thread, where he raises that as a use of the mobility promotion.

PBEM19 was my first engaging RB experience. Tricks like this made me very nervous going into my first game.
I remember after PBEM 6, someone commented on how deep this game is that after 10 years people still don't know all the rules.

Or poorly documented... as everything has to be found out and tested empirically..
PS. I'm not really complaining. Civilopedia is already large.
