It's better than being the Dry Bandit.

It's a dated reference to the Home Alone movies, specifically the burglars played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. I've used it as a handle on all things internet and can't be bothered to come up with something else.

5150 has multiple meanings:

The first, which was my initial intent, is the California code section which allows for the involuntary detention of people for mental disorders. Police have used 5150 as slang for a crazy person. I'm sure I'll be doing crazy things in this game, so it seemed appropriate.

The second, 5150 is the name of the first Van Halen record after Sammy Hagar replaced David Lee Roth as singer. I'm now leaning towards using songs from the album as a naming scheme.

Fun with Google Image Search. I've now learned that there is a junior lacrosse team in pennsylvania called the Wet Bandits. My 11 year old self would have loved to be on that team. The mascot leaves a lot to be desired.

That looks like an AH start, and I'm initially tempted to settle on the sugar. It looks like there is water to the NW, N, and NE. Possibly a land bridge N of the pigs. I'm not terribly thrilled of moving the capital on the coast, but the scout will have to look north to see what we have.

AH means AGRI or HUNT is absolutely necessary as a starting tech.

First thoughts were Gandhi of Inca because Inca, then Joao. I need to learn exactly how burdensome maintenance is, which I suspect is the sole limiting factor for Joao. Can't get the EXP worker bonus immediately with this start either.
