I actually like slowcheetah's post concerning Pindicator
@Jowy your "a wolf would never do that" defence isn't going to get people off you because it's WIFOM. My problem with you is that you aren't explaining your reads, ie: why is MJW probably village?

Don't think that is much of a scum tell on day 1, so long as he has reasons. I note that you also aren't actually contesting SC's characterization of your play thus far.

"so far" meaning one post
Let's see... my day in a nutshell: I confused MJW with MNG, and saw the same kind of squirming wolf that reminded me of my first game. Still voting for MJW, btw.
I pointed out that Lewwyn was wrong when he said Brick had violated his PR and voted for Brick for that reason. Yes, I did that with questions instead of stating "Brick didn't violate his PR"
I tried to get a handle on the Zak <-> Brick exchange, due to a misinterpreation of what Brick told Zak, to see if anything was there. Turns out I just misunderstood Brick's pictures. (Btw Zak - can you tell me what you thought that string of pictures I misunderstood meant? I'd ask Brick, but... well, Brick, if you can think of a different way to explain that would be nice too.)
And then when I suggested slowcheetah was trying a bit too hard to act helpful, he attacks me
Right now I want to stay on MJW because regardless of my mixup, I still want to hear him tlak and not see him disappear after a few votes go on him. I'm pretty trusting of Brick so far, and by extension that means Zak now too. Slowcheetah I think looks more scummy than not so far. And I would like to dig into the Jowy posts and see what others have noticed there. But tomorrow, after I've slept off this bug a bit (and I feel like it's on the mend, finally -- damn thing's been with me since Monday).
There ya go, Day 1 from me so far. You'll have to forgive me for not finding any obvwolves yet.

My first one, where he was lynched as a wolf on day 1.
Brick, i think you misunderstand the meaning behind my question to zak. Or maybe i misunderstood your pictures ... One sec (phone is crappy for quoting )

I took this as meaning "You're not listening to me. You're not hunting wolves, Zak."
Was i wrong?

Sorry for the nagging, Pindicator, but I can't find any games that match your description. Which game number was it?
Literally my first WW game. Where we were scumbuddies with Commodore on one team and MJW and novice and pling were scumbuddies on the other. MJW got lynched day 1 because he pretty much panicked and was obvwolf to the vets. I didn't see it then because it was my first WW game, but this feels similar to that.

Says Pindicator the 'helpful' questionmaster of day one. Appearance is definitely the thing here.
I Luke this line of reasoning. pindicator
Having said that, I also agree that MJW needs to improve second Alfred of the day if he is in fact village.

Because there are too many posts I'll just responed one by one:

Anyway, MJW because I find his reason for voting Brick very contrived. Makes it feel that either he's trying too hard to have a justification for the vote, or he has inside info on the sanity mechanics which is more likely to come from a wolf as they have multiple team members sharing info.
Zak, to clarify, are you voting for SC because you agree with Q?
Of course my reasoning for Day 1 is contrived! I really don't have strong feelings on anyone and so have a hard time justifying my vote.
Uberfish it is very easy to see my reasoning and you should see it.
1. Serdoa posted that the sanity is 20.
2. People said that Brick said that the sanity is neutral.
3. That means there has to be maxs and mins to be a middle. The most natural min by far is zero.
4. Taking 2&3 together the most natural max is 40.

I like Brick's clearer posting. Maybe because I can sightly understand it.
I'm still voting Jowy though. I think his style came under fire and he tried to change it but he changed it by trying to go weirder to play up the idea that he was playing a different style. Jowy claims this is a villager tactic, but I think its wolfy to take things to extremes that he is currently taking them by speaking in verse. Don't be fooled.

Okay, Uberfish merly failed to read brick's post.

Then post #106 is perhaps something about loose ends and tying them up?
No. Brick has a thumbs down and thumbs up picture. And a happy picture after that. This means he will be happy if sanity changes at all. That is the way I read it now.

This means "Not".
Maybe the cut rope means yes...

Probably a loop on Serdoa rules. Am I right, brick?
can't answer yes-no questions
That's a very good point. It's a likely interpretation of Brick's post too.
Can you use punctuation, Jowy? Maybe that's your PR.

MJW
I never vote for MJW because he's crazy. I find him funny and that he makes good out-of-the-box points. Here he's playing like a wolf. He's even spelling the names correctly.
I always spell names correctly after Selrahc bitched to me in a PM after a game...
How I'm acting wolf-like?
BRICK's POST
shows that he, if he is telling the truth, gets to post when sainty falls. This means that 20 might not be in the middle and everyone's points on this was wrong...

Brick, I think you’re working wonders, but I am still having trouble with your long-form posts which are just a lot of pictures without context (like your post #105, which I translated as I Paint Post Post Orange Bum Change Wolf, which I think means we have a breakdown in communication). I think your cases against Jowy and Novice were very clear though, and I like both of them.
After last game, I have a healthy respect for Ichabod’s gut feelings, but I’m not sold on MJW scumminess. Especially because so many other possible wolves voted on him. I can see Uberfish, Mattimeo, Jowy or Pindicator as wolves, and they all voted MJW. That makes me feel like he’s being set up for a fall.
On Pindicator: First, if he really has played games with a MNG and a MJW, then I do not blame him at all for getting them confused. Second, I thought Slow’s case against him was interesting, but Pindicator’s response felt genuine to me. And if we’re analysing people’s posts from Day 1, I thought Brick’s summation of Novice was more convincing than Slow’s of PIndicators.
Uberfish never responded to my vote on him, which reminds me of his last scum game. But he’s been contributing since then, certainly more than Novice. SO I guess I could swing to Novice as part of my silent superwolf paranoia, but I think there is definitely enough evidence amassing elsewhere now.
@ Jowy
As others have said, you did silly Brick meta for a while. Then,
(June 21st, 2013, 08:42)Rowain Wrote: While this is all very interesting may I remind you that the task set before us is to find scum and not talk pages over pages about BRicks postrestriction.
Jowy what are your impressions so far? Whom do you want to lynch and why?
(June 21st, 2013, 08:47)Jowy Wrote: BRickAstley because fake
I really don’t see any evidence for Brick faking his post restriction. And it’s a pretty easy attack to make. You say he broke his own rules, but I don’t get which you mean. Mattimeo asked you to elaborate, and you didn’t. You changed the subject.
(June 21st, 2013, 10:41)Ichabod Wrote: There's a very high chance MJW is a wolf. We should all vote for him.

Ok, people respect Ichabod's opinions, and now he’s targeting MJW. SO you jump straight on behind him, without elaboration? Pretty safe move.
Then finally,

mjw probably villager.

slowcheetah
SO, here we have ‘MJW is probably villager’, despite you voting for him a few hours before, and another jump to another player who is amassing votes. Seriosuly Jowy?
I agree with Brick. Jowy Jowy Jowy.
Though why Brick thinks he is the girl from the sound of music, I do not know.
