You mean it would for example be absolutely okay if I (once I know your timetable for your Zulu-invasion) go and urge Serdoa on to kill you in so and so many turns? (Of course without explicitly giving him hints that your Army will be busy then)

I haven't been looking at the zulu military myself so I have no idea about what's going on and don't feel like I was doing anything more than stereotypical calls for violence when it's offered. I didn't volunteer my hyperbole, I was just joking on what was already there.

However I don't wanna cause any issues so I'll just not comment in player threads anymore.

Comment as much as you want in hindsight. But imagine how the Zulu will feel if they later learn that Lurkers urging Xenu on might have played a strong role in his decision to attack.

Suffice it to say I know Xenu far better than you, and that is not the case. You have the seventh place (of seven remaining) looking for some way to have some fun in the game. No other player is assailable from his position, and he has a revenge motive that was earned in this very game. What other reason would he need to attack? The writing is clearly on the wall that this game is near an end and he wants to make a splash before it ends. He's spent the last ~100 turns turtling up and wants to have a go. What's the big deal? Most players like to pander to the lurkers for a little more input in thread on a fun topic (WAARRRR). Lighten up some.

Most likely the bananas aren't dancing because of all the gif animations in the page. I imagine the browser needs some time to download all the frames, and maybe there are cpu restrictions too.

What's funny is that I would actually prefer that Xenu leave Commodore and the Zulu to sort things out on their own, but instead I'm blowing up his thread supporting the universal lurker right to goad him into war. But, yes, Scooticator will probably notice the thread spike, get super paranoid, and torpedo his plans and/or the entire game. lol

What I really don't want is for there to be any bad blood because NH/Pind/Scooter have put so much effort into spiking Com's tires that they feel eternally backstabbed if/when Xenu does move in on them. It's certainly his right to play his civ as he sees fit, I just would like to see this epic game continue on it's current trajectory because there are so many entertaining things still happening.

Exactly.

If any one of the players posted in their thread saying "Should I attack [any other player]?", then I would post ALL THE HAMMERS too. But I don't wanna ruin anything so I won't.

If you want to urge a player to war then be his dedicated Lurker the next time. Then you can urge all you want. But if you are not then you are not playing and then you should not push him in any direction no matter how much fun you think it will be for you or how inconsequential you think your pushing is.

I have urged no less than five different players to war in this game and I don't feel bad about it.

I was his ded lurker once upon a time. He no longer needed advice/input so I went global. But, again, I've already explained that the commentary in his thread is fine. If you want to argue further, please PM. I don't want to ruin this thread with tedious arguments back and forth if I can help it.

You are absolutely right that any further discussion is worthless. If you (and Cel etc) decide to destroy the game for people who have spent a lot of hours into it by urging a neighbour to war I can't stop you.

You could perhaps be less obnoxious about how you disagree though. rolleye
