It was actually not a hardware outage (yay?). Get this: a car crashed into a utility pole, which carried a fibre line. All Atlantic Broadband service for DE and MD was out.

The outage seems to be over now, so things should be back up now with no reload needed.

Demogame crew, you guys are the pros, so please tell me the timer rolling during the outage doesn't require a reload. Please...

Sorry, we can't tell you that. Q had asked for a pause, but since no one was able to log in, no pause was able to be done. And unless he is fine without a reload, we will probably need one.

Little point in saying this since a meteor is probably headed for my computer as we speak, but since some of the games needed reloads anyways I went ahead and got server 1.5 up and running. It's pretty fancy: renewable ergonomic stand (monitor set on cardboard box), superior ventilation (case door removed), and extra-quick-release drive bay (hard drive sat on bare metal case chassis).

This isn't a permanent solution, but it does have about twice the performance and half the hardware age of the old server, and perhaps more importantly since it doesn't need to be remoted into it's less susceptible to VNC crashes necessitating a restart.

Anyways, game is reloaded to Novice's login, ~19:00 on the clock. With all of the outages Civstats is giving really spotty info, so please let me know if I have the right save or even the right turn.

Also, I think I have the configuration settings right, but it's certainly possible I missed something. If that's the case I'll fix it tomorrow.
