Other techs this turn are:
CivPlayers - Construction
CFC - Drama (I guess they feel the pressure in their stupid border city)
Noted down the new buildings, but nothing really noteworthy. Mostly buddhist temples and monasteries, and some courthouses and granaries.

The Germans continue to whip. Wismar, Wilhelmshaven, and Wesselburen were all 2-pop whipped (to 77, 64, and 63H each, so it might be longbows or elephants, or even catapults).
Their other cities (with the exception of Webringen, with 2H invested) are currently all at 0H in the box, in some cases after build switchings.

Webringen was also 2-pop whipped, from 2 to 62H. That means it grew on the interturn (was size 3 last turn), and is size 2 now.

Do the Germans have much whippable pop left? We've been rushing to capture cities before they get longbows built, but it'd be nice to be able to slow down and use our catapults to full effect.

The Germans are down to 26 pop total in 7 cities.
Size 5: Wien (new capital), Westheim
Size 4: Wittenberge, Wismar, Warendorf
Size 2: Wilhelmshaven, Wesselburen

Behind on C&D for now, and it's quite possible I'm going to be quite busy over the coming weeks.
Anyway, new techs for this turn:
Apolyton researched Construction, CivPlayers Machinery, and Univers Philosophy. I believe Apolyton has just finished a settler in Istanbul, but it's far to the west in Apolyton's land, and thus no threat to our city to the north of Mano y Mano.

Did another unit tally for the Germans, based on the units visible to us and WPC's screen shots. I get a total of 270k in power from them (tech, pop, buildings, and units), but APTmod shows circa 350k. Thus, they have circa 80k left as garrison units, and that they might be moving against us.

Yeah, probably going for that open area to their northwest (fish and fur there, at least). They've been hurting for happiness a long time, and Istanbul is right next door.
