Is anyone else playing Rogue Legacy? I checked the Steam charts yesterday and it was ranked #1.

I'm having fun with the game (only discovered it due to this thread; thanks, Gustaran). It's good that you can play it in small sessions and still enjoy it, since I'm having trouble finding time to play for longer durations.
I suck at the game, by the way (maybe that's the reason why my play sessions can be short ). Playing on a keyboard certainly doesn't help, but I'll try to eventually get the grip of things.

I'm quite interested, but I have a question; how's the replayability? I'm getting the vibe there there's one castle and once you beat it you've won the game, is that the case? Would repeated playthroughs still be interesting after you've done it once?

Not sure how long that would take you. I've played it now like Ichabod in short sessions, but quite many of those and am nowhere near getting through the castle. Heck, I'm not even near killing one of the bosses...

Okay, well that sounds promising. I was mainly concerned about buying a game that I beat in an hour and a half and feel like I wasted my money on something small with low replayability (I'm looking at you VVVVVV) but if it looks like there' a lot of gameplay to get through it I think I might pick it up.

If regular platformers are too easy for you, try this one.

There is no way you are going to beat that game in 1,5 hours, simply because a certain character progression is needed (unless you are a godlike 2d-platform player and even then you are going to die). Also, even though there is one big castle, it has basically 4 areas: The main castle, the tower, the forest and the dungeon, all with different enemies and visual look.
Once you have played through, there is also a NG+ mode available with stronger enemies, because you probably can't max your char on one playthrough, unlock all classes, find all items, unlock all fairy chests... Some people in the Steam forums are at NG+7.
While I think the castle area is doable, especially the dungeon is very challenging and sometimes even frustrating if you are not used to this kind of game. For optimal control an Xbox 360 Controller for PC is certainly helpful.

Okay, so I didn't realize that the castle regenerated each time around, that is cool, and the difficulty is FRIGGING HARD. It doesn't help I'm no good at it, the amount of characters to die in the first 3 rooms is way too high.

Someone claims to be on NG+22 where the game turns into a bullet dodger.
