What does fault, or fairness, have to do with Realpolitik? WPC took an action that benefited us. Not from altruism, but because they thought it would benefit them too. We should make sure it does, because we want everyone to believe:
Help Realms Beyond = Help Yourself
Even if it costs us something now.
We don't have to be best friends forever or anything, just make it clear that you can work with us.
Yeah, this would be the only reason to cut WPC in. But from the tone of other teams, it may be too late. See Apolyton's "role-play" as an example.
I can't be the only one to remember RB's attempt at roleplaying.
I think we should be gracious to WPC to being the ridiculous silly distraction. We should plan on swiftly killing them otherwise so no one can use their land against us. I suppose that makes the CFC treaty risky though we could attack them for attacking WPC. UCiv might just gobble them up instead.

Proposed response to WPC:

We will help you capture Warendorf and the two tundra cities.

Then afterwards we point out that we cannot in fact gift cities, and therefore

Sorry for quoting the old, outdated, "from-a-previous-ISDG" rules in the stream, and then turning around and posting the real one.
Thats what you get for no one else cross-checking!

By which you mean that posting the wrong ruleset for us was a brilliant plot in order to allow us to stall with WPC and prepare a more careful and premeditated response rather than having to engage in on-the-spot diplo.
Well played, sir.

From WePlayCiv:
Quote:Hi Scooter.
It would appear that the Germans are pulling a last ditch Kamikaze move on us. Check out the picture.
As allies, what we would apppreciate, is that you take the remaining German cities (ie the ones that were slated for us).
You keep the gold you get from them, and any workers you capture. When all this is over, you gift the captured cities to us. Or sooner if it is a matter of maintenance costs for you.
As we discussed at the start of the war, the scenario we are facing was a possibility. So, we will play it out and take on the fury of the Incan hostility. I gather they did not know of our prior agreement, and it is probably best that they don't. We can handle them better on defence.
Does this sound Ok?
Cheers! Beta of WPC
ps on the pic:
A: Warendorf: 2 war elephants, 3 horse archers, 2 longbows, 1 axe, 1 chariot
B: 1 war elephant, 1 longbow, 6 catapults, 2 axe and 2 workers
C: 7 war elephants, 2 horse archers, 1 longbow, 2 cats, 1 chariot, 1 spear, 1 worker, 1 quechua

Check the turn report for context, but I'm about to send this before I go to bed, so yell at me if there's a problem with it.
Draft to WPC Wrote:Beta,
So this is embarrassing, but we were wrong again. The team member who noted that the city gifting might be okay was looking at the wrong game ruleset. The actual rules do ban city gifting in any format. I don't see an easy way out of this, especially since we want to finish this war ASAP. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,

Scooter, it looks good. Nicolae posted links to the two cfc pages, maybe he can post them here too. I would include those to explain the confusion. I looked at them and I can see how one can make the mistake. This is not crucial, the message looks good to me as is.
