Thx KJN. My question was mainly tongue in cheek anyway. A 'waste' of less than 10 beakers is absolutely perfect.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Shit!
I was logged in and started to chat with WPC, but had the focus on the wrong thing, so now most of our units east of Wittenberge moved back into the city (started to write Evening, causing them to move east...)
So so sorry about that.

Is that a cause for re-load? I am thinking NO.

We could ask, but this is a pretty clear case of a single misclick - though one that impacted a lot of units.
Man, the Civ 4 chat interface really sucks, and then most of the chat with Beta got eaten. Not a good evening here.

Does this mean we can't attack this turn?

Correct. Basically, almost all of the units in the main stack were moved 1E - we have a single knight and a chariot 1E of Wittenberge that can attack Warendorf/Wilhemshaven. And almost all maces and cats are in Wittenberge now.

Well crap. Could we perhaps expedite things and not lose an entire 2 turns on that by sending some knights back in, or are their war elephants within striking distance? Alternatively, could we send knights north to mop up the northern cities and leave the southern cities to our 1 mover stack?

Anyway, I'm willing to send in a formal reload request to the Civ admin forum, but realise that it's quite likely to be denied.

As for consequences of not getting or requesting a reload:
We can move the knights back to 1E of Wittenberge this turn. I think they have 2 or 3 war elephants that can hit the tile, but I think we have at least one mace remaining on the tile, and can probably move at least one more to the tile.
So it will delay taking Warendorf and Wilhelmshaven with 1t, but the consequences for WPC are much worse, since our one-movers can't help out this turn, and likely not next turn either. In fact, that's the thing that most makes me think of asking for a reload - the mistype causes damage to a third party (WPC).

What the hell? That is an absolutely crippling mistake! You CANNOT let stuff like this happen. Way too many people are logging in right now. Please leave things to the turnplayer. Stop trying to do unofficial diplo.
Jesus Christ, this is a colossal screw up. We had the chance to finish this war this turn for all intents. Damn it.
