Can we just reload to two hours left on the timer and replay our turn quickly? We have it recorded, so we should be able to replicate it, right? Then CivFr gets 1h45m to play their turn. Would that work?

You can play a turn in 15 game-minutes. You just have to hit pause after each and every in-game action. You think while the game is paused, play while it is unpaused.
That said, I don't think we have a good turn to reload to. I can see us having to replay our turn. We have it on tape so we can replay it exactly as we played it the first time.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

It seems Caledorn might have a technical solution (temporarily suspend the mod). Not sure it will work, though.
Otherwise, I think we should be ready to reload again, so CivFr can play their turn in a decent manner.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width
So btw, how did we ever get into a state where CivFr hadn't played their turn yet and there were only 2 hours left on the timer? They just procrastinated the first time through?
Basically, I think the following happened:
1. I messed up with our big stack 2. Hulkmusclor did CivFr's moves, didn't end turn 3. I put in the reload request, game was paused 4. Game was reloaded and paused ( 5. Inao sent in a notice that it was late their time, and he couldn't replicate Hulkmusclor's moves now 6. Scooter unpaused and played Basically, by the rules CivFr should have 24 hours to log in and redo their stuff, but we denied them that.

Well, yeah....
But how did it come about that the save we reloaded to, which undid multiple teams' entire turns, was with only two hours left on a 36-hour clock? As I understand, despite the mod it's still a simultaneous turns game - which means whether or not "New Random Seed" is enabled you will always get different results on a reload. (That setting is irrelevant unless it's a sequential turns game; it's effectively overridden to "always on" in a simultaneous turns game.) Unfortunately, I think we got better RNG rolls overall than average over the turn, and would not expect our luck to hold out as well the second time around. We'll also have to "fail to redline" the unit in that city twice - or maybe it can be justified as having to play the same way the second time around. At least on the upside, those two rather annoying misclicks will be undone, and we can use a couple of forgotten units from the southern army. And we have a little extra knowledge of the German position that can't exactly be unlearned. Nobody log in with the RB handle, apparently this does not go without saying. Edit: this was a delayed crosspost. Stupid patchy internet.

We may want to include the following: We could also state that our primary turn player was out of town, and we had a backup turn player filling in who was not aware of the need to pause. |
