I think if anyone had anything more than a minor comment, they'd have spoken up by now. I know I nearly didn't bother to post mine because it was so minor. Better to get CFC's feedback at this point than ours .

So the a general plan could be to "invite" Univers to swallow WPC soonish. We promise to stay out of it, hence making the conquest speedy and securing Univers as a "friend". It has the benefit that CFC's northern neighbour (Univers) is then quite a big player and no easy push-over.

FYI I didn't miss this, but I'd really rather get the CFC Treaty discussion out of the way first, especially since it might seriously impact how we handle UCiv.

I think that we'd want to offer UCiv the spices almost regardless of the outcome of our discussions with CFC. However I understand that the energy had to be spent there first as that communication was more important.

2 other factors
1) I think this thread gets too confusing when we're discussing multiple issues at once
2) I don't really want us to gift spices to UCiv now, just in case that annoys CFC enough to get them to back away from the deal. I honestly don't think it would, but this deal is important enough that I really don't want to take any chances.

On that note, I'm going to send the proposal. I'll post it in the tracking thread once it's sent.

Does "expiring on turn 200" mean war can be declared on turn 200 or not?

I would phrase it as expiring at the beginning/end of turn 200.

Fake edit: oh, just saw the clarification at the very bottom. If you're going to make it a separate point instead of just clarifying the points themselves, I'd put the clarification at the top, or right after the first place it appears.

If CFC is going after UC, then UC isn't going to have time to kill WPC.

Sullla, that chat was a terrible decision on your part. I value your turn-playing commitment and skill... but don't do that again. I know you hate when people use your quotes against you, but:

* Do not engage in impromptu diplomacy on your own. It's fine to say "hi" to someone in-game or whatever, but anything important needs to get channeled through the diplo team. You can put the team into a very bad position very quickly otherwise, especially if you haven't been following our past conversations and agreements closely.

Honestly, I don't think it's total disaster just yet. I think it's more salvageable than you'd think... but I say that with the disclaimer that I only caught about 80% of the chat log when it came up on the stream so maybe it's slightly worse than I noticed.
