Preferances:
Playtime - all times given in GMT: Very early morning 06.00 and evenings 20.00-00.00. I can get a quick turn off in the morning, but do the thinking and 'real' playing evenings, say after 20.00 evenings. Perhaps before occationally. And all day if I happen to be sick off work, yay.

Lairs/Huts: Off. Perhaps preplaced in the middle of elsewhere with guards.
Civ pick:
- All leaders will be tasunke of hippus. Or tebryn of sheaim. Or something funny.
- Lurkers discuss, then hand out a civ to each player. Then can decide leader, if applicable.
- Or just the boring we pick our own from a big or medium-sized list.

How about AI diplo - use the gold/resource gift screen with accompanying messages like "Stop trading with..." "Declare war on..."? Just those two?

The reason Kyan pulled out of XXIX was he didn't want diplo. So that's probably out.

God, I went through all settings and it is a mess but I've got the following:

Settings preferences:
* EitB 0009
* Quick
* Emperor
* Ancient start (could be advanced or with shade)
* Starting units - default
* Wildlands [this is still in discussion, 1 off; 1 on; 1 undecided; 2 not voted]
* Living World on
* Orthus on
* No Acheron (unless preplaced)
* Normal barbs
* Restricted Picks - TO BE DECIDED [this is the big discussion point. We got "losers pick list" I suggested unrestricted, there were some other suggestions, we've got to decide here]
* No Vassals
* No Tech Trading
* No Statis
* NO DIPLO/AI Dilpo [this still has to be decided]
* huts off

Suggested bans are Keelyn, Stasis, Volanna and Clan.
Also Lairs: either guard them with held units or turn them off... In that case I'd personally rather have them off. but we are still out on that.
Huts are another thing 2 votes for off, 2 votes for on.

Let's figure out the missing things and play order and we should be ready to go soon.

EDIT: Oh yeah and shades or other advancements or not?

And to give my two cents. I'm fine with either AW/No Diplo or AI Diplo.
I don't care about an advancement.
I like the idea of unrestricted leaders but I'll go with losers list or something else as well.

I'm adaptable - my only preference (from the undecided settings) is for no diplomacy. My ideal play time is 23:00-01:00 GMT.

I like those settings. I'd be interested in taking plako's spot if we can get someone else to volunteer to make a map. My other game is looking to be approaching endgame, so I could use a new one to play. Still need to confirm if Kyan is in or out, I suppose.

On the 'undecided's, I'd vote for guarded lairs, no huts, shade start, wildlands on, only the bans Yell0w suggests (but still restricted leaders). And AI Diplo. But I'll still play if the vote goes against me in any of those.

By restricted leaders, I mean that Cardith Lorda can only be a Kuriotate; not sure if that's what Yell0w meant by it.

I don't know that I *need* a dedlurker, but I certainly enjoy having one. And I do expect that there'd be the occasional opportunity for you to play. You'd be welcome with me, Darrell.

Assuming that the other players are ok with me joining, no one makes a more compelling case, and the game gets off the ground, etc.
