Waterdeep could also whip a worker and use that to chop a settler.
Maybe we should send an axe south to discourage Bacchus/Gavagai. Gavagai has a settler on the way towards us (which he moved during his turn after we had already ended turn). We might be sending more than one axe depending on where he settles.

Maybe we should settle the horse site first then. WC's do a great job against Axes.

Things could get ugly depending on where Gavagai settles. If he tries to steal any of the FPs in our BFC, we will have to go to war. If he settles on the desert, I'm ok with that...for now. Although I would really like to get the Mids, I think we are better off grabbing the horse site first. Depending on what Gavagai does, we can still get out a quick settler from Waterdeep to settle The Rock. If that means we don't land the Mids, I'm fine with that. Gandhi continues his wanderings...
The demos...
Moria actually didn't need to switch over to a worker. The library can finish (3t left) and we'll just 2 pop whip the worker once the city reaches size 5 in 5t. The library at Redemption completes in 2t (same turn the city grows to sz 6) so after whipping the settler we can immediately start working 2 scientists and still have a +4F surplus. Really like how our capitol is working out so far. Pretty good food and production and a really nice whip cycle.

Yep, horses first. This could mean an early war....

I got my wish. D-V is a good long term city settle. There is only one problem though. Poor strategic location. Notice how the spot we wanted to settle (to grab the phants) is behind a river on three sides? The way D-V is settled, Gavagai is going to have a hard time keeping the city. Classic case of what not to do when settling near (or on, in this case) an opponent's borders. TBH, the PHF 2W 1N of D-V is a better strategic location. I would have settled the riverside plains tile 2E 1S of D-V to grab the phants. Much easier to defend. Gandhi's sneaking around...
Had to adjust the worker micro up north to get ready for the horse site settle...
We'll have to come back later and finish the farm for Redemption (which is okay since we don't need it *right* now). The important thing is the road will be complete (for instant trade routes) when we found Rohan (see where I am going with this city name? ) Also, the road on the horses will be finished so they can be improved right away once Rohan pops its borders. The demos...

He is really asking for war! He keeps expanding in our direction only and close to our cities....
I think we should forget Mids for now and build an axes/wc's army. Once Gavagai gets to construction, we'll have a problem.
Him teching IW might be showing he thinks the same.
What do you think Jester?
On another note, can you play my PB10 turns while I'm on vacation (away from my civ computer)?

On another note, can you play my PB10 turns while I'm on vacation (away from my civ computer)? We will need the fail gold from Mids to reach Construction faster and The Rock is the city that is going to build it (saving our core cities for units). We'll get to Construction well before Gavagai (Math Bulb). We've been plotting on Gavagai for some time (notice the barracks builds) and are just about ready to go full war mode. We just need the horses improved plus the settler for The Rock.
I think TheHumanHydra was going to play the PB10 turns. I can cover PB13 (which is starting really soon). At last resort I can cover PB10 (but would rather not).

The adventures of Gandhi...
Checked the trade screen and except for Sian (who has 3), everybody we know has four cities now. Gavagai still doesn't show as having horses. From the looks of the surrounding land, he may well not have access to horses (barring a trade, but no horses show for trade right now). The demos and power graph...
Someone out there has a bigger army than us but it is not Gavagai. We're now splitting our EP on Sian and Gavagai. It is crucial we keep research visibility on Gavagai for now but I'm not sure if we want to try and get graphs on Slowcheetah (who hasn't put any points on us yet).
Three turn settler build. We settle Rohan T75 (put wrong turn on map ) so WCs here we come.
We're going to go back to full science after the library finishes. We'll tech Fishing next and try to put as little OF into Sailing as possible (to conserve gold). We want to have enough gold to tech Construction as soon as we bulb Math and need to camouflage our real tech path. With the beakers from the two scientists, we should be able to tech Sailing easily enough and can put the beakers into another tech (IW or Monarchy?) if we finish Sailing before we get our GS. Really, the only techs that are useful right now are IW (swords?), Math (chops), Construction (cats), Monarchy (in case we don't land Mids for happy boost) and Currency (recovery from war). The main reason I want to still give Mids a shot is because Police State is LOL for war prep and Representation greatly helps to recover from a war (along with building wealth).

Things are still looking pretty good!
Changed all EP's to Slow for now, since we have graphs from Sian and enough EP's on Gavagai to keep his tech in sight for a few turns.
Croydon, Gavagai's second city has a Granary and Buddism. His third city doesn't have a granary yet. Oracle is in his capitol.
I assume Data will start helping to road towards horses?
Maybe we can get 1 worker from around Wall St over to Waterdeep to start chopping for that settler?
We can build 3T WC's in Redemption. That helps!
Long term we want to settle that Silver and aim for an early MC for very good forges (+2 happy) and even better production.

Yeah, Data is on road detail. It should be possible to send one worker to chop the settler after next turn. We need to finish the road on the FP since that is needed for the war.
When do you want to research MC? I can see skipping Monarchy/IW and if we wanted to, even Fishing/Sailing. We're going to need Construction though and Currency is an absolute must.
