WW26: The Masquerade [Game Thread]

Sorry, everyone. Very, very busy weekend, only arrived home with time to relax now. I'll catch up during the night and help the village on day 2.

I can already tell this is going to be an extremely frustrating game.

Old Tom is not one to show up the morning after and call the rest of the village farking idiots, but ....

You farking idiots.

Seriously though, it's hard to stay the whole 2-day day on a target. Too easy for scum to derail.

What the H*** was that last hour run on Friar Andrew? How often does those work out for the village? Almost freaking never. It's late and I'm on my phone and I have to get up early on the morrow, so I'm just going to respond to the one person who really interacted with me: Know Nothing John, that wasn't the only post you made with real name-searching; there was also one were you accused your attacker of bei g Serdoa, just because he made a post, that in your opinion, was Serdoa-like. Why needlessly drag out real names? One of the best scum tactics is to just flood the thread with nonsense. That being said, my earlier case against you pales against how incredibl scummy Muriel appears right now.

I also did not like Old Tom's posts, with their "scummy because scummy" logic and rant (seriously, out of all the loss to not be able to understand, that's the one that you choose?).

Doctor Saul's backing off Muriel was strange, but at Least had a logical reason.

Maybe? I felt the scum density probably wasn't any higher among lurkers than nonlurkers. By giving all lurkers an extra day, hopefully they start posting and giving off tells so we won't have to policy lynch all of them. Lynching a lurker felt like taking the easy way out when we could instead lynch someone based on actual tells and start figuring out the day one interactions. I don't know if my justification makes sense but the bottom line is I didn't feel like it...

Already three people from my wolf lean list setting up a miss-lynch on Muriel on Day 2. I sincerely hope that no-one believes this non-sense that keeps coming up in this thread; the flawed logic that when two players are arguing, or two players are racing in a lynch vote, that it must mean that one is a wolf and one is a villager. I even argued against lynching Andrew, and only made a self-defense vote in the end when it was clear people were not switching. This could have gone horribly wrong for both village-Muriel and wolf-Muriel, but I did it in the end because I believed we would have a better chance to lynch a wolf with one of my own suspects. Some people here are pushing the idea that wolves must be the ones who take huge risks, stick their necks out, and that every villagery thing people do must be a wolf in disguise trying to gain credit. Setting up a Muriel miss-lynch isn't just an easy way to get another villager dead, but if the discussion again revolves just around Muriel, it will let the wolves fly under the radar with no pressure on them.

No one said out of the 2 candidates, one must be scum. You were a better lynch. That much is certain.
