[SPOILERS] Nakor and Jester..Second time's a charm :)

Settler 1 done for the horses! Great job!
After growth to happy cap Redemption will be running 2 scientists for a 9 turn Great Scientist?

Good to see our GNP is getting a bit better.
Once we have more land and more cottages, we'll get that even better. But war is the first thing we need to do...hammer

I think Gavagai/Bacchus believe I'm a good target since I've been playing the builder in most of my games and warfare hasn't been that good. That might make him go for an early attack or for a farmer's gambit.

Select a tech, then look at your f9 gnp. your gnp there reflects the +20% modifier for arrowed prereq techs, as well was the rival known bonus. That bonus is small here with so many players, but if you switch your whole empire to a max-commerce setup you can usually see a bump for each rival that knows that tech.

Ergo, if you select Mathematics and find your f9 gnp is higher than when you select other techs, then you can calculate how many rivals known Aesthetics. It's not as hard as it sounds... just make sure you set your tech back when you're done!

Their power graph is anything but flimsy, do they have graphs on you?

Not exactly. We run 2 scientists (+4F surplus) right away and grow back to sz 5 in 4t. We can then add a farm (or mine if that is more useful) at that time to speed up regrowth. The priority is the GScientist.

Yes.

Thanks for the F9 tip. I vaguely remember reading about that before. Not sure where (CFC maybe?).

So much jungle down south...

Got some nice OF on the settler whip...

The demos...

The F9 trick confirmed Gavagai has MC. Don't know why he hasn't settled a city to build The Colossus. What I do know is he built 2 more axes, and at the end of this turn, will have 4 axes to our 3 along the militarized zone. We have another axe being built but our priority right now is to keep expanding. Rohan (T75) and then The Rock (T80) will push us to 6 cities (along with 6 workers). Both cities will have 2 workers dedicated to improving tiles as fast as possible.

Good to see us expanding fast!
Now we only have to hope that Gavagai stops building units and/or focusses his attention on someone else....

WAR!!! jive

Wondered why it took so long for Gavagai to play last turn. We're not exactly unprepared this time. Attacking axes in a hill city with axes (not even city raider at that) is futile. Not happening. He will bee-line our copper once it is visible (although maybe he already knows where it is). Our response...

Next turn we 2 pop whip the axe (40H/35H) and with the chop finishing + natural hammers will have 33 OF into the third axe which will complete it in 1t.

The worker will have to wait. This axe is needed to help defend our copper. The second axe finishes in 3t (a worker will chop the GF). Wall St. will be able to whip an axe in 3t as well. The southern jungle...

We'll add 12K power EOT followed by 6K the following turn and 18K the turn after that. We'll have to delay The Rock (and a worker) but I don't see us losing this war. We'll have WCs in ~8t. We just have to defend our copper until then. There is also an un-promoted axe (that killed a barb warrior this turn) that will be sent to the front line (still many turns away though).
