As a French person I feel like it's my duty to explain strikes to you. - AdrienIer

WW26: The Masquerade [Game Thread]

I had been thinking Muriel was just being very vehement in her own defense, but she still has plenty of vitriol on the attack. She comes off as very sanctimonious in that chunk you quoted, if she honestly is sure of herself having caught 3 wolves it seems rather smoke. Bert, would you be comfortable explaining the nature of your relationship with Will?

Elizabeth could be scum actually, using the power against me when I don't have much time to defend and already offered to suicide on day 3/4 if I still had no time is clearly an anti-town move. If elizabeth is scum, however, then she has a very strong incentive to dump the ability on a policy lynch target that's unlikely to defend himself in order to avoid blame.

And she asked whether I was a PR at the start of the day, in hindsight I guess that was a setup for the use of this power to avoid potentially dueling a PR. Well, she just did.

I'm village watcher, Will (and no one else) visited Bert last night, and you two are being completely unsubtle about it by the way.

In the circumstances i'm forced to vote for Lady Elizabeth.

Also, all this misrepresentation and demanding that I mod-kill myself instantly is over the top and scummy as hell so Fat Rose and Muriel should die too, someone shoot them thanks.

Don't answer this. Will explain in a bit.

If it happened as John said, then with that and Bert's claims, it seems likely that John's claim is true. Unless of course John is a scum watcher... That being said, I don't see him offering himself up for a lynch as being a wolf ploy, it seems needlessly risky when he could just start to contribute more, and be fed things to say by his pack mates. I would imagine scum would want to do what they could to keep their watcher alive. So if it isn't a scum ploy, it's just anti-town, which is even worse if he is actually a strong power role. I didn't interpret Elizabeth's question to you on power roles as fishing, it seemed to be trying to avoid a mislynch on John. if everyone is telling the truth, this is shaping out about as well as the last duel.banghead

Last post was a crosspost with Muriel. Definitely don't answer yet then if she has some reason and a forthcoming explanation.

It's John's last moment of defiance. And it's a nice move. He's right about Bert and Will not being subtle about their connection, which is also how a wolf could make this kind of a move. By calling out one as the power role, he has 50% chance of being right. If he was right, sure some might be convinced and he might live, but that's a long shot. What the wolves will gain, no matter if he's right or wrong, is the identity of a power role. This is why we can't confirm or disprove John's claim. Let the wolves take their 50% shot instead of a 100% one next night. And this is true even if John is a villager, though if he was, I'd add outing our power role in the long list of anti-village plays he has done this game.
