FYI, when I posted that, via chat:
Quote:scooter: just hit submit on the dumbest turn report i've ever written and that's saying something
We're thinking about doing a "Hall of Fame" and "Hall of Shame" feature for this game. So of course:
Quote:pindicator: we can add your report to the Hall of Shame :P
This is what happens when you're in the move unit, press enter phase.

Okay that's it, I told the RNG to be gracious to you and it did, but now you insult me? May all your huts spawn barbs and all your neighbors axe rush you into oblivion.

Since we're using scouts and border pops, that might be difficult. :P

scooter Wrote:IS UNACCEPTABLE. Now we all know Brick put us last on the order just to screw with me. That's because he's a jerk. After sending the starting save off to sunrise he probably celebrated by kicking a puppy. Anyway, the issue is we have to SCROLL to get to our leader. Do you have any idea how much work this is?? It adds at least 3-4 seconds to logging in, and considering I'll probably log in roughly twice/turn over the course of several hundred turns, we're looking at probably 600 logins, or 1800 seconds. That's 30 minutes. I'll spend HALF AN HOUR of my life scrolling down for this game. That's just me, not even factoring in pindicator's logins. And I'll probably spend at least 9 minutes complaining about it over the course of the game (this was about 1.5). So anyway, the solution is clear: we need to kill enough people so as not to have to scroll down. Sound good?!
Best reason for early war EVAR!

well there are 18 players, which just increases the chance that a shorter timer will just mean more pauses.
I think Bigger just disagrees with anything I say by default at this point. :P

New turn!
Scooter, no need to wait on me. S-SW is what we both want so do it when you are able.

Moved our scout:
Stone! Even if we don't use it for a wonder, at minimum that's an extremely power trading chip. That might be well-placed for Hanging Gardens or something, I don't know. Though with 18 players someone probably builds that wonder way too early.
Also, 8/18 ended turn within the first hour. That's pretty solid.

Wow, this start keeps looking better and better. Stone and more food and more rivers. Hanging Gardens could work, but it will depend more on if we focus early for Mathematics. Keep in mind that we will likely be competition with the EXP Ottomans if we decide to go for that wonder.
I like HG a lot for the Engineer GP points. Run 2 merchant specs from a market alongside for our first Great Person would enable a bulb of either Civil Service with a GM or Machinery for a GE. Yes, I'm thinking berserker beeline Although berserker beeline may hurt an astro beeline... Need to check that out.
Pyramids is another possibility, if we find a good spot to chop it out. That stone has wet wheat by it, so we will want to get it online sooner rather than later.
Really, the best part of stone is it is going to let us get Moai up and running faster.
SE to the hill or SW next?

You know, I don't like SE that much because it looks like we'll get stuck in the jungle. We're a lot closer to the equator than I originally figured, so I think NW-NW is actually a solid choice too.

Stray notes/comments:
1) Retep and suttree were the two who had not yet settled. Both of them did, and retep promptly popped some sort of tech from a hut. I guess that makes up for the whole wandering aimlessly thing.
2) All that's left to hit enter is Commodore, Lewger, and (oddly given his city/tech pop) retep. We're definitely getting a new turn sometime tonight I would assume. I won't be home till late - probably 6-7 hours after this post. Pindicator - if you don't want to wait for me, I'm totally fine with either SW-SW or NW-NW.
3) Retep has named himself "The Icecream man" in-game, which has the stereotypical ice cream truck song stuck in my head periodically. It's the worst. We need to either kill him to rid ourselves of that name or get passive-aggresive with our own naming. Either route sounds wonderful to me.
