Make the timer too long and people will use the whole thing, we have so much evidence of that by this point. If someone can't consistently play turns in 24 RL hours they probably shouldn't be playing pitboss. 22 hour timer will probably still run over 24 hours anyway like Krill said, so dropping it down is basically a no-brainer. If we need the occasional temporary pause due to turn split or whatever, that's fine, we did that all the time in PB8 and it kept running smoothly.

Maybe my expectations are high but I also think letting the clock roll, because it's too demanding to move a scout in 24 hours, should be a source of a little shame and embarrassment.
