WW26: The Masquerade [Game Thread]

(July 26th, 2013, 16:25)Know-Nothing Jon Wrote: GG, Bert.

My previous post was what I wrote up last night when the thread was closed. My opinions haven't changed much after mulling it over for 24 hours, though.

One thing I did reconsider is the thing about Rob asking to be replaced - I can agree with Bert that it's more of a null tell, considering that the game has been paused due to apparent "issues". Rob might ask to be replaced as scum if he was feeling unfairly screwed over by the GM. That said, he's always shown great will to win as scum, including the game where I was scum with him, so I think it would take quite a lot before he'd quit in disgust.

Anyway, enough about that. (Or actually, previewing, what is your take on it, Edith?)

I'll vote for Half-Nose Harry because he just made one big post yesterday and it was basically a summary of the suspicions that were put forth by everybody else.

I took Rob's request to be replaced as a town tell myself. Unless, as you said, he was feeling screwed over by the GM, I don't see him being so frustrated as a wolf with the way things have been going. I know you have since moved off of me after rereading, but I'd still like to address the big post. I wasn't trying to appropriate anyone else's arguments as my own, and I understand that a giant post can make people's eyes glaze over. My schedule can be odd at times, and I can follow along some during the day but on a phone which is really awkward to post more then snippets on, so was trying to address everything I had thoughts on since I last had access to my desktop.

He must have used his vig-shot on Night 1, along with a second vig-shot by the village. One of them hit a wolf, so kudos to whoever made that shot.

I don't see how the one kill and Bert's flip prove that we have a second vig? It's certainly possible, but it could also be a second non-town kill and they doubled up.

Ah you are right, that could be it too. Well, in any case, only one villager dying last night has to be good for us, and I do believe that Bert managed to use his vig-shot before he died, which is also a good.

It worked! lol

I wanted to yell at Lady E for saying I should post because that draws attention. But I lived and got a good result, so it worked. Maybe I should thank Know-Nothing for attacking me last night. Thank you, Know-Nothing smile

Everybody, I am the seer. I was thought I would get proof that Muriel was scum after you all did not want to lynch her on the first day. But I scan her and find she is village. Not what I expected, but that happens. So you cannot lynch her, she is a good guy! Or girl, I mean, sorry Muriel!

I know, maybe it is not smart to reveal seer for Muriel, so after Percy said I might die for what I post I tried to bluff it as not being seer. It made me think maybe it was not worth it to reveal and maybe I just say I was making it up today and try to find a wolf first before revealing.

But it worked out! Because last night I scanned Kate the Waif and she is a wolf. Too bad I won't get to scan Know-Nothing, but I think saving one person from being shot and finding a wolf is worth it.

I just did a read through of all of Sir Percival's posts. There is practically nothing there other then repeatedly calling for Muriel's lynch, but he doesn't really go into any reasons. In the beginning he was basing it on the meta speculation issue at the start of Day 1, then he shifts to just either saying "she's scum", or not even that's she's scum, just that she's a "toxic influence" or "cancer". It's just alot of "she's scummy because she's scummy" circular reasoning, or things such as:

WHY is she scummy? With as much as she has posted surely some specific things have popped out to you. Also, even better, who do you feel is suspicious other than Muriel? The last post I noted you giving much for reads on other people was this:
(July 23rd, 2013, 09:25)Sir Percival Wrote: other player i read thru was halfnose harry (mustnt be a good fighter, shouldve taken lessons from the best, the best being me, sir percy, yeaaaaahhhh)

thought it odd that most posts were question. not much putting self out there.

also reread tiny dick posts, similar read to young will. more contribution desired but null tell for now

What have you thought of me since? Or Short Richard? Or anyone else? It seems to me like you're happy having somewhere convenient to park your vote and occasionally chime in to reaffirm your belief in her wolfiness for no particular reason and not having to try to analyze anything else. Sir Percival please share your thoughts with us.

Crossposted with Doctor Saul's claim, Kate the Waif. I would still like to hear more of Percival's thoughts today, even if we have a confirmed wolf to kill.

yikes Well played Saul! Super risky play, but it fooled me, and looks like it fooled the wolves too. Seer sounds quite powerful considering what we already had, but I believe you. If Kate doesn't flip a wolf when we lynch her, you'd be the next to go. And I doubt it's some elaborate plan for a wolf-Saul to gain trust, because selling one of their own and clearing a high chance miss-lynch target for the village are not things you would do when you have a good lead and been outplaying the village all game without high risk moves like that. Good job, let's lynch Kate the Waif today. Meanwhile we can start looking for the rest of the wolves.

Thank you Muriel smile

I was so certain you were a wolf! And after I made my dumb vote on Simple Anne I felt very down. But now I have made up for it! smile

Dr. Saul is lying, and honestly, I'm surprised that he would try to claim a seer with a false claim, because I sure as Hell hope that ya'll lynch him when I turn out to be innocent. I guess this is jus a fancy way of bussing himself, which is funny, becuase his earlier vote for me, after I made my big post but without responding to that post made me start looking at him closely and I did not like what I saw, but I don't think that it matters now, becuase I can't see an argument saving me against a seer claim or an argument saving him when I turn up village. Dr. Saul, now is the time to reevaulate if maybe you are a seer that doesn't always return the right results.

Looks like the password that The Narrator gave me is far too accurate.

What's your password then? Remember that he gave out the passwords before he assigned roles but I still want to know. smile
