So wait what is the password for Nakor's civ?

I'm just making a quick post for this turn, because I'm heading into my grandmother's for the day. I had an aunt (who was living at my grandmother's house) pass away suddenly Wed from a bad fall down the basement stairs. So going over there to be with them and my cousins who came in from upstate and help out with some things in general.
But need a quick update on something so that ya'll can discuss some stuff. Also, Old Harry (and/or others) can you please log into my Civ and take a look around so that this battle plan (and now other continent defenses) can be worked on? First, something good. LAM had a Landschneckt in the forest NE of my city. I sent a melee promoted Crossbow at it (74% odds) and won. This got my a Great General. I moved in a Longbow & Chariot as additional defenses so the Longbow he has on that hill doesn't try to attack the wounded Crossbow. Also moved in two workers to quickly chop that forest so he can't use it as a staging ground anymore. His main staging is on the tile north of that which looks like he's roading from his city so that he can probably send stuff at all the units I have up there waiting on my settler (which would arrive in 2 turns, with a Pikeman on the same ship). Is it still a good idea to settle this city up there? It looks like he's trying to push me off that part of the new "continent", but if he does....I lose my Iron and essentially any ability to conquer WK to my north. Now for the north. I'm sending my new GG up there. What should I do with him? How should I disperse his XP in a most useful manner? I don't have time to grab the details of all my units, but suffice to say I have a bunch of Mace/LB/etc and Pikes on the way (one already in the stack). I'm thinking of moving the stack next to his city again next turn to start the bombardment process. With the Pikemen arriving as they can. Also as you can see, a few turns ago I started Notre Dame in one of my cities in the south, basically knowing I wouldn't get it...but it did get me a little boost of gold which I'm going to need for funding my army once it moves into enemy territory. Anyway, take a look in-game please so better input can be obtained aside from just the little info I was able to provide in the post. Oh, also sadly I have a feeling I may lose most of (if not all) of my 4 Triremes up there. I moved them a bit further this turn, and he has 5 right there (2 next to the city and 3 in the other group). So his 5, now outnumber my 4. Oops, my bad. ![]()
Looks pretty good, HAK. I'd recommend slotting in some more pikes sometime soon. In the east, I think that grassland hill tile should be reinforced by that crossbow coming up if what we see is all we'll face this turn; if not, I think it might need to be abandoned, for fear of knights in the fog - note fogged knights will be able to hit even the proposed city site once that plains hill's roaded. On the whole, I think we should be good to found as long as Lewwyn doesn't have strong forces coming to stop us. Continued reinforcement will of course be necessary, especially pikes.
In the north, I think this force is much more impressive, though I would I think advise against moving in until we've another pike or two. I forgot to check where the reinforcing pikes are - hopefully that'll be just a turn or two? Might want to whip one out of Jungle Fever before finishing the walls as well. It's just that that force as it is is very vulnerable to knights, since they're all six- or eight-strength units on 10, with no bonuses. And I'm a cautious person. ![]() I wouldn't worry about the navy yet, unless he's got more triremes in the fog - remember units on coast always get a +10% defence bonus, which would give us an advantage in each engagement should he attack. Another trireme and you might be in trouble, though. Well, good luck. I hope everything will be okay for you in RL; remember we can always fill in for you if you'd like it. ![]()
Sorry to hear that HAK.
![]() I haven't simmed it out but I'd definitely add some more pikes - perhaps whip one out of Jungle fever (where the whip counter is at zero) instead of the walls (unless you're going for a castle there?) Did WK lose a city to Smack this turn? If they're defending on that front then perhaps they won't reinforce Cellphone Wearer too much... You could withdraw everything but the longbows from that hill to make WK think they are heading to face Commodore, then a couple of turns later push everything forward again. Hydra is right - a medic III chariot will be great if you want to bombard the defenses down. If you can add it to an already 6HP chariot you can get Morale too to allow some extra pillaging.
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57
In progress: Rimworld
WK is losing cities to Smack, but the ones they are losing are the ones that are across the water. Basically Smack & LAM have essentially conquered all that land. And that's what I'm worried about with us....if they have a bunch of knights and landschnects coming at me, they'll easily take my two cities (once I settle that new one) and remove my Iron source. No Iron for me will make surviving in the longterm all the more difficult. Obviously I need to put all my cities to building Pikes while I still have control of my Iron.
I'll take a look this evening on the medic III chariot option. If I can, I'll try to build a 6HP chariot, but don't know if I can do so. Don't believe I built any Stables yet, so would have to do that first. So not really time to do so. I believe I have at least a couple Pikes within a turn or two of my stack, so will wait a couple turns before sending it in. But if Smack has pushed WK off the other continent, then he's likely to now concentrate on defending against me. They did also take a city from Shoots, which means that Smack is also attacking them from the west. So hopefully that'll help divert their defenses or at least keep Shoots from also sending defenses. Maybe Korea can send me some of their offensive units to help with the invasion, while also leaving enough to defend against any possible LAM attack from the west. As soon as you have your Iron, building nothing but Pikes would be important.
