It is about half of our military wink
It errs toward the 60/40 - the only real problem is muskets/catapults (which I didn't see tbh) which we are producing at a fast rate so the difference will be made soon.

Yeah, I suggested that to scooter in chat and Noble told me that EP spending means they have vision on our cities already. But we should still sound cavalier about 50 units, at least it'll make them think we can produce quickly.

We probably should also produce a wave a units but that's been talked about as well.

I agree that the most important part is to make them think that such a number of units is no big deal for us. Avoid sounding desperate, and aim for arrogance instead.

Let's include an estimate in our message for the number of units they'll invade us with that's wildly optimistic(for them). "Do you really think 80-90 units are going to be enough to cause problems for us?"

Also since we are promising a lot in the units area, I would ask for a lot in the NAP time - perhaps more than we expect to get so that we end up at T220. how about T250 ?

I guess it doesnt matter - they assume by accepting a long deal that we probably will win space, but they will end up a good chance at 2nd and 3rd? not sure their motivation (as scooter was asking them in-chat).

Have we ever replied, decided on the exact meaning of the NAP ending turn?
Do we have enemies crossing the border on T170 or on T171 the earliest?

I will be very impressed if this plan with CivPlayers works out. I'd not rate the odds very high, especially if we haven't talked to Apolyton about it yet, but it's worth a try all the same. There's also a nonzero probability of a backstab once the units are sent, but I say it's worth the shot anyway purely for the interest.

Well that's good news, finally.

We should ask what they want from us and what their plan of attack would be. Do they want Land, Revenge, etc? Are they going to invade, open a second front, gold(!), or just stay out of it? I'm sure we can accommodate them considering we're offering CivPlayers and Poly 1/2 our army.

Would UniversCiv find the news that Apolyton is about to leave their shared border very lightly defended an interesting factoid?

Great news about Univers! But I imagine WPC will be quite peeved about being grandfathered into "our team".

That said, I'm not sure if Univers can threaten Apolyton in any meaningful manner. Nationhood and riflemen means they are the hardest defensive nut to crack in the game right now, and they have a very narrow border that also isn't close - CivFr has more borders with Univers than Apolyton.

If we get Univers aboard, then it's mainly a threat towards CFC, who suddenly would be threatened on the north (Univers), west (us), and hopefully west (CivFr).

Go all in on the Civplayers offer! At least 51 units maybe more. And make sure its clear we're not just giving maces. I would suggest at least half to be muskets.
