[SPOILERS] The Rise of Lewger: A BacoN of Bacon Revenge (bacOn bAcoNbAcon) Bacon

Ok. War might... happen?

Here we see our scout stuck between a warrior and a barb and Azza's capital. I have 1 move left. I think I'm just going to sit tight and see what the barb does...

Then:

His Scout is probably going to move onto that forest. If so we can declare war and maybe kill it. Do we want to do that? Do we let it live? If we let it live do we send the message we don't want to fight you Azza?

See this is long term strategy now. Azza is Joao so he's going to get bigger faster. But maybe he goes light defense like usual. Dunno for sure. But that juicy, pig and 3 FP section south of our capital has to be claimed and if Azza comes towards it... But if he don't have a scout maybe he doesn't have a sentry and settles a little less aggressively.

that site should be our #4.

if he claims it, we'll have copper then, its very close to our capital, we should have no problem taking the city, even if we can't get his capital.

im not sure if its worth taking out the scout. my gut says let it be, or at least don't pursue him. its just a scout.

I think you played our scout right though, try to avoid - if it comes down to having to fight, better to fight the lion than azza.

from the minimap it looks like you are doing an excellent job scouting - I'm almost glad you got a 2nd scout from a hut smile.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

I'm going to circle the south warrior back later and use our second warrior to scout north more. The scout by Jester is in danger though. There's a panther 2 tiles away. The scout is on a jungle hill though hopefully it survives.

Jester have copper and stone and pigs all within 2 tiles. Lucky bastards have a real nice city there.

That warrior of Azza's also tells us that either Azza popped a Warrior from a hut, or he went or is going:

WB>Warrior>WB(incomplete)>Worker(at size 3)>finish WB

In this case it's possible we could get ahead on workers even though he's EXP. I'll also feel a bit more secure about any chances of him out expanding us too fast.

It's also nice that he's doing fishing and getting food which isn't giving him EXP bonuses. I'f I'm him I'm going BW before I go AH. I need chops to speed my EXP/IMP traits and Slavery to take advantage of my fishing boats. If he swaps into Slavery we'll know.

yeah but you're not him, heh. he won't revolt until he has a settler, though, and surely he'll have BW by then anyway.

Yeah, but the build order I outlined is my best guess based on the warrior sighting. I don't know what I would have done if I were Azza. I think I might have gone WB>grow size 3 building a second WB>worker and completely skipped the warrior! It would be more efficient given that we're not attacking him, but he doesn't know that. So it could be our presence scared a warrior build out of him.

Ugh waiting for Azza to play first everyday while our scout is in range of his warrior.

Plan is working. Will finish the warrior, grow to 3 and finish hunting this turn. Next turn chop in and second worker completes.

Need to sim moving to second pig with second worker instead of chopping.

Currently:
T25 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Worker 29/60+11+20 - Chop in; Wheel 8T?
T26 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Settler 0/60+10 - Pig Pasture EOT29/2ndWorker to forest; Wheel

Move to hill pigs instead:

The difference is 6h but the workers will not be on the pig hill tile to road before the settler moves. We have a river North of the city and a road to the hillpigs is the only one that isn't crossing and still going north so a road 1 north of the cap is useless. That means that the settler is delayed from settling by 1 turn. Which is a loss of 6 food in that city. Of course again this is banking on an 8 turn wheel. I need to make sure that happens, but I'll know for sure next turn.

In other words my original plan is logistically superior even if its not perfectly micro superior.

No war with Azza and I think he's clear that we don't want war for now. He's moving his scout in range of ours twice and I've moved ours past his warrior twice. Even though my warrior is on his scout I think I'm going to stop playing by my turn split now.

Lots of people at size 3 capitals now. The top 5 cities is full of them. Also forgot to mention earlier both Buddhism and Hinduism have fallen. I think WillLP went buddhism with his first tech!

I'm pretty happy with the start. 2 warriors, 2 workers (at EOT). Size 3 cap and our base techs are in. The wheel says 8 turns so hooray for that! The settler feels a bit late but this is a normal speed game and our second settler will be out shortly as well.
