Is it 200 per turn or just 200 gold?

UniversCiv is delivering. We should let them know our revised time table (as well as lots of thanks and hugs).

Really happy to see UCiv delivering the goods . We can shelve the Apolyton/CivPlayers thought for now.
Darrell's modification is an improvement for sure, but I was wanting to leave in the comments about the dishonesty from the other teams. I figure that's something that will be meaningful to them. I'll think about how to adjust it.

Can we get a confirmation that 522 per turn of gold is normal (and then they give that to us for next 7 turns) rather than some inflated number? We need this, if we want to start our research...

Draft to UCiv:
Draft to UCiv Wrote:Awesome, thanks guys! I see you are getting around 520gpt right now. Is that normal for you? We are trying to better estimate how quickly we can get Rifling. If you are able to supply us with that much gold every turn, we can shave several turns off the estimated Rifling completion date.
Thanks,

I think I'd like to state in our draft to CivFr that we're expecting to lose several cities even if they do intervene so they don't feel like they're simply kingmaking between us and CFC, because I think they'll decline in that case. They can mess with CFC if they get ahead, and they can't mess with us if we stay ahead.
Underlined changes, added a bit about CFC being dishonest (I don't think Poly or CP have been dishonest or even underhanded with us)
Quote:CivFr,
We are about to get declared on by Apolyton and CivPlayers (NAP expires t170). Our CFC NAP expires on t175. While we've painfully converted enough population into military to deal with Apolyton and CivPlayers (hopefully only losing 2 or 3 cities), we won't have enough left over to stop CFC from taking a sizable chunk of our land should they move in five turns later. Given CFC will probably win the game if they claim our land on top of Spain's, we were hoping you would be willing to help us in two ways:
1) Can you loan us 200 gold? If you do this, we will give you back 300 gold by T190 at the absolute latest.
2) Refrain from making peace or signing a NAP with CFC. If they are forced to defend their border with you, its possible we can scrape enough units together to slow them down, though defending our Globe Theater seems impossible in any case =[
You guys don't owe us anything, so I will completely understand if you just ignore this and do your own thing. If you do decide to help us, we will do everything in our power to help you in the future, even if it costs us. We would like to win of course, but more important to us is that CFC does not win, as we feel their dealings with us have been dishonest. I would like to think we both feel the same on that last point.
Thanks,
scooter - Team RB

I think we should be more specific in the draft to UCiv so they don't think we're just throwing darts. Like, our previous estimate of turn 181-182 was based on X gpt from you. If you can deliver 520 gpt instead, we can finish rifling on turn Y.

Also, I think I prefer my full message to CivFr over Darrell's shorter draft. Any other opinions?

I'm fine with either scooter's original or Zargon's edited version. I'm afraid that CivFR may just decline to do anything for us, as all those troops marching to war against us is much better for them than all those troops marching to war against them. CivFR also borders all three members of the Axis of Evil.
I'm glad to shelve the CP/Apolyton draft. While I agree with the sentiments, I think it is unlikely to do us any good.
Great news on UCiv.
