Jeebus. Smack are putting 60EPT into us. They are 200 EP ahead. I also caught a spy in our territory this turn, must be 4H because about 6 turns ago I was setting up a LB and worker snipe and the turn before they suddenly retreated.
Is espionage on?

WHELP...
I think they are coming. Seven put a stack of 8 knights, 2 praets and two workers on a jungle next to petunia. I'm betting they road and then move in with a much larger force that is behind them. I've scrambled everything and its possible that we will put a hurt on them. If they are just cutting down the jungle or something then we'll massacre the units. in any case I don't have a ton of confidence.
At the same time in the West we have two mack galleons forking eucalyptus and Elm, but its fine because we have enough units in both those cities to withstand two galleon's worth.
So its basically like a calm before the storm I think, but who knows. We won't lose any cities on the intern but its possible we could be facing some shit in petunia shortly and more galleons.
Getting super bored waiting for the end to come now that I'm not actively attacking 4H. Attacking 4H through the west would be suicide since Nakor only knows how to stack defensive units in cities. Every city on that border has 10+ units. Mostly all LBs.
Smack have chem now so even if we build galleons we'll be facing frigates momentarily. We got super screwed by our GSpy popping. Wish we could have popped a GS. Never got my Great prophet for the shrine. I think that was bad.

Well, this was always us charitably playing out a string for their amusement; ought to at least see some pretty sparkly lights before the end.
Chem->Steel takes how long?

Well we're 2 turns from PP and I'm building observatories. I think we finish PP and then go for chem>steel.we should get a huge boost from PP.

Whelp from civstats it looks like we lost petunia. They roaded and had more knights behind apparently. Not surprised its what I would have done.

Nothing else for it. RMOG is tiny, 4-H is tiny, we can call it anytime.
Also can tilt and whip/draft ALL THE UNITS if you want.

That is always my favorite option. But it takes up a lot of energy

Was there no one on team LAM who thought "Hmmmm, maybe we shouldn't name our units and cities to communicate diplomatic opinions to other teams in this game where it's not allowed"?

Did anyone appreciate my chariot rename after "your everyone not SMack was destroyed ..."?
To provide some explanation, your metagame-perspective seems to have been "SMack is the best team; everyone must work together to destroy them." Mine at least was "everyone in this game is way better than we are; we must take every opportunity we can."
I understand your perspective better now, and will keep it in mind for any future games, though I admit I will be tempted if a similar situation happens again.
Almost surprised you guys never did attack us (in earnest); almost all our defence was oriented in your direction.

Let me first address that if I were you and you were Smack's neighbor in this game, I woudl have moved my chariot next to the city, shown I could take it, then walked away. It does a few things. It indicates a possible alliance, it stops you from having to divert resources away from the biggest threat and in the future possible ensures a safe border.
Well we always had to keep a pretty large standing army to defend against Smack, so it would have been too difficult and too costly to go full attack. I would have let you guys keep your horse city if you hadn't razed our city. We also didn't attack you because we had enough to do with colonizing the west ASAP.
If you look at PBEM29v I was next to Gaspar and did something similar. It was not AW but AI diplo. After we had established borders I put workers next to his units to show I trusted him. Before that though I also gifted them units which I couldn't do in this game. SO I was able to ensure a safe border with them and tried to focus on Mackoti, while they focused on Seven. Not that it helped, I still over expanded, fell behind in tech and was run over by Mack.
