Quote:Set research to 0%. Small good news in the plan, we have 2 more food in Sale than planned:

You're right! In practice this won't make a difference though because we'll still be starving down at -1fpt and we have to starve the last 2 turns of GA regardless to get the GP out so those 2 food will be lost then.

Next turn we pop the GA, and the following turn we have the opportunity for another civics swap. What civics are we going with this time?

We'll probably stay in these current civics, since we need the free Mercantilism specialist for the GP plan.

Slight hitch though... the plan has Sale popping the 300 GP and New York popping the 400 GP. But, since they'll both pop in 2 turns, and New York was settled first, New York will end up popping the 300 GP and Sale the 400 GP.

Slow down GP production in New York so it pops second or just let New York pop first? First impression says we just let New York pop first.

We got Havana up and running.

We cross 300 GP T196, 400 GP T197, 500 GP T198, and 600 GP T200. Since Havana was settled before Sale and both (are planned to) hit the 500 GP mark T198, it'll pop from Havana and Sale will have to get the 600 GP.

Note to self: swap Havana to Merchants, we need at least one non-Scientist for the 2-man GA.

The Trolls are mobilizing:

Paranoia says they're headed for us, we're weak and that NAP was so long ago they might have forgotten. Time to try to NAP-whore our way out of this. T210 work?

Also, a brief message to M3 asking how their dogpile is looking might be in order.

In alarming news, CivStats showed Trolls losing 3 4-point increments, and a quick check shows that Trolls are in Police State/Nationalism/Slavery/Theocracy. More alarming is this:

I smell Kremwhipped Cavalry. Whelp, time to hit Rifling. Though there's probably nothing we can do if Trolls come with a million Horsemen of the Apocalypse, we can at least try.

I say we mail off a-this:
Quote:We propose an NAP until T230.

'If you'd like to drop all pretense, we propose a 'don't squish us like bugs' until T230.'

Considering this to Q:
Quote:Trolls is obviously remilitarizing. If they attack one of us, we propose that we agree to mutually stay neutral in the conflict.

Because let's face it, we're not getting anywhere with our cardboard cutout army.

We already have NAP with Q. A better message to Q would be to sign a mutual defense pact, and perhaps offer the same to M3. Maybe we can arrange a defensive alliance to keep the Trolls in check.

The problem with this is that the diplo will take effort, and frankly I don't have time for Civ now. Starting this week through the end of the semester (December) I'm stretched thin and will be pressed to even keep the PB9 turns covered.

I would go Steam > RR to get a rail network up and Machine guns out. We still have the rolling NAP with 10-turn cooldown with Trolls. Perhaps we should add that in the NAP request to Trolls.

Quote:Trolls,

We would like to propose amending our current 10-turn rolling NAP to add a hard NAP to T230, continuing beyond as rolling NAP (if not canceled by T220)

I discovered the problem. It's actually Il a Vache and New York that have the conflict. I was planning to have Il a Vache pop its GP last turn (T191) by starving a pop, but in the notes I said "... or don't starve and get GP a turn later" forgetting that New York's timing was dependent upon the starve timing. This is what messed us up frown

So I adjusted as follows:

Delay NY since it's production capability is higher and it can make up faster. Total delay here is getting the GP 1-turn later than planned. Just work this configuration T192-3 and adjust as needed to pop T194 (probably fire 1 or 2 on the last turn).

In order to get this one this turn without starving we need to steal Crab from Sale. I checked and this is ok as long as we're careful. Ile a Vache's GP will complete EOT.

I stole Crab this turn from Sale, so I fired a scientist to work a Coast. Next turn (T193) you need to steal the Crab back to Sale and re-hire back up to 6 Scientists. Otherwise Sale is uneffected because of the 2 extra "mystery" food that I mis-calculated and some cushion GPP in the plan.

The fall semester begins tomorrow for me, and due a host of RL commitments related to school, campus ministry, work, etc. my participation will be nominal at best in the coming months. If there is an emergency or if you need a turn(s) covered please contact me by email at my "cornflakes116" gmail address, as I may not check the forums regularly.
