We started with two warriors and a scout. After exploring, the wheat/calendar resources and the sense that I'm on some sort of snakey landmass (although maybe large lakes?) made settling 1S my best choice. I have tundra to the SW and jungle to the NE. My likely second city is NE of the sheep, to take over farms post-Mysticism.

Calabim moved before me and cast their worldspell, so nothing to worry about there. I kind of have to rewrite my "grand-strategy" given all the water, but a worker is in the queue and tech is clearly Agriculture->Calendar->Mysticism.

I'm using this game as an opportunity to learn EitB, so I hope to have a great deal to post over the next few days. Maybe a story too!

The lakes thing is a feature of Torusland. Remember settlers cost more in FFH, and culture is harder to come by.
