We're still several turns from rifling, no? Unless we can get them to commit to 750 the next 4 turns, what's the point?

Yeah, lets not annoy the only team that likes us with demands that don't necessarily get us to Rifling quicker (I believe running 100% every turn isn't strictly necessary from what KJN said a while ago..)

From what I have seen from KJN, 4 turns of 100% is enough. That is why we stared teching instead of waiting for more gold. UnivCiv has 600 gold and are generating about 520 per turn. That would be 2680 and we need 2800 to tech rifling in4 turns.. Last turn we may not even need 100%. This is critical, if we want to save eastern dealers...
Edit: what is the cost of rifling on this game? We are generating about 1000 beakers per turn at 100%..

I don't think a message informing them of our ETA of 175 and how much we need a turn would be too intrusive. After all I don't think we ever gave them a solid timeline. We can phrase the message as an update on their investment in us.
With how fast our units die and how desperate we are to get funding, it feels like we are playing xcom instead of civ.

I'm still around, just busy at work now. Let's ask for what we need to run 100%. They will understand that we need to get to rifling ASAP, and this is how we get there. But, we should also recognize they may want a little cash on hand for security. Profligate thanks are probably in order with the message.
Also, profligate thanks to RBers who are still putting in time and effort here. Getting dogpiled isn't fun, but let's hang in there.

The timer for the first half ticked down, civplayers were still logged in. It automatically finished their turn, but it did not kick them out immediately.
This meant that when I tried to log in after our half started, I got kicked out again, briefly glimpsing the Univers 500 gold diplo window (I assume).
Unfortunately that diplo window was gone when I logged in again (after civstats finally showed civplayers as logged out).
I requested the 500gold from Univers ingame again. (They have 1100 gold, we have 5 at the moment.) We also sit at -712gpt at 100%.
Scooter, I suggest to send a quick heads up along the lines:

We requested it again in game, and would appreciate if you could log in an accept.
Sorry for that.
Would it also be possible for you to increase the gifted sum to 750gold? This would allow us to run100% research.
